3 3 MISSION The USA South volleyball program is completely dedicated to providing its athletes with the fundamental, mental and physical training to reach their highest possible potential. We will strive to provide each and every player an equal opportunity to reach their maximum potential regardless of age or ability. ABOUT US USA South has implemented a proven Master Coach and Training Pod system which allows each of our player s access to elite training and equal growth opportunities. Our training systems are streamlined and monitored so that players achieve excellence through the relentless pursuit of technical development, physical ability and tactical skills. The attention to detail in our programing and implementation of training maximizes each player s success. Our elite coaching staff and wealth of coaching knowledge is spread among all the players in our program creating consistent and expedited individual volleyball growth. Over the past 17 years we have worked hard in laying the foundation for this club and propelling it to one of the elite clubs in the Florida Region and known throughout the country. During that time the club has recognized the following accomplishments. - Have sent over 36 teams to the Girls National Championships - Assisted more than 85 student athletes in receiving college scholarships players per season making their High School Volleyball tea - Players selected yearly for Florida's High Performance Team. - Established one of the top 3 coaching staffs in the Florida Region

4 4 USA SOUTH TRAINING PROGRAM Our Master Coaches are highly qualified and trained to design, implement, and facilitate the necessary volleyball fundamentals in a streamlined system. This system will allow for all players regardless of age or level to be trained in a manner in which each can reach their full potential. Master Coaches will design layered monthly practice plans the allow coaches to train players and reach weekly/monthly training goals with high success. This will allow all players in the program to continue on a steady growth path and maximize their volleyball skills. The key to developing success, one player at a time, is the creation and execution of a technical architecture. This consists of a set of teaching principles, teaching cues, video reinforcement, and integrated practice drills by age group and ability that will assure each player learns each skill and game knowledge in a consistent fashion. Every coach teaches and trains from this technical architecture so that instruction is consistent, enabling a player who starts out in little spikers to move to elite, or elite to premier in a rapid and seamless progression. This accelerated learning is facilitated by the fact that they will all learn the skills using the identical cues and vernacular regardless of the coach. All USA South coaches are taught the USA South architecture and will be required to teach to its standards. As part of our player and coach development plan, the coaches will be assessed based upon their effectiveness in a number of areas, a large piece of which is teaching each player in a consistent and correct fashion. Players will also be reviewed by their coaches to help them stay on task in learning skills correctly as young players in order to get better more quickly than ever before. USA South has always had the best coaches, but with this key addition of a consistent set of teaching principles and techniques, our coaching effectiveness will compound and each player within the USA South program will have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

7 7 USA SOUTH SETTERS PROGRAM PROGRAMS USA South has developed, with the assistance of Sports Performance Volleyball club, and implemented a full standardized collegiate based setting program. This program will enable us to provide the top setting training available in the Florida Region. Our setters will have a structured technical curriculum in which all will have the opportunity to receive the best fundamental and philosophical training when it comes to the position of setter. Our Setting Program Director will work hands on with all setters in the USA South program to ensure they are all following the correct technical kills, meeting age level benchmarks and game knowledge. USA SOUTH YOUTH MASTERS PROGRAM The Youth Master s program has been developed to help our youth players (14 under) to develop solid fundamentals and understanding of the volleyball game. In doing so the program will help each player set goals, achieve those goals and develop confidence through accomplishment. Accreditation levels will be set at each volleyball skill which include both mental and physical testing. These benchmarks will be set by the USA South technical standards and training curriculum which we believe all players should have when entering into high school. Players who are able to complete all levels of accreditation while in the USA South program will receive the title of Youth Master and permanent recognition. USA SOUTH RECRUITING PROGRAM All High School players in the USA South program will have access to our Recruiting Director and services. Each year we will hold recruiting workshops in which player/parents can be educated and receive assistance in the recruiting process. We will also offer recruiting services to those in need of assistance. The recruiting director will assist in players in recruiting needs, network with collegiate coaches of all levels and mentor players when it comes to making commitments.

8 8 USA SOUTH PHYSICAL TRAINING PROGRAM Physical training is an integral part of a players volleyball development. USA South focuses on a strong foundation of core and jumping programs. All players will participate in a program designed by professionals, for volleyball players, that includes in gym and at home programming. These programs are designed for Pre-Season and In-Season to keep in line with our volleyball scheduling and player development. We also offer a full physical training program in which players can receive baseline evaluations and programs that measure and increase individual strength and endurance.

9 9 USA SOUTH PREMIER PROGRAM The Premier Program has been designed for the player with a strong dedication and commitment to the sport of volleyball. This program includes additional practice sessions and multiple out of state competitions. Players in this program are required and expected to attend all training sessions, competitions and should plan on participating in volleyball training each weekend during the club season. Teams in this program will compete at the highest level at all times and participate only at the Open and National level in all competitions regardless of results. All players/teams will be required to participate in the USAV or AAU National Championships at the end of the season. In addition the following will be offered: Club Fees - Individual & Team, technical & tactical training, and mentorship under the Training Pod program and their Master Coach: o 3 practices sessions per week, 2 POD practices and 1 Team practice - Players will receive: 2 uniforms, game warm up, practice shirts, spandex, knee pads, socks - Participate in the Jump/Core Physical Training Program - Participate in the College Recruiting Program - Compete in 2-3 of the top tournaments in the region, 1 in state Qualifier and 2 out of state Qualifiers or JVA tournaments. - Full access to our volleyball facility and all supplemental training programs. - Full access to USA South Coaches for Private Lessons - Participation in club fundraising opportunities. - **Indoor Club season runs from November to June or through the completion of the USAV or AAU National Championships. - Administrative Expenses - Player Management System - Insurance and membership registrations - Facilities, equipment and uniforms - Coaching and Instruction - Special programs and events

11 11 USA SOUTH ELITE PROGRAM The Elite Program will be offered at the year old age groups. This program is for players looking for a standard club program. Elite program teams will participate in all the top Regional competitions as well as 1 National Qualifier event. Teams will compete at both the Open and Club level based on the tournament. Elite Program players will also have access to all other USA South programs/resources. This program is comparable to other local clubs such as Gulfside, SW Sunset, Heatwave and Naples Juniors: - Individual & Team, technical & tactical training, and mentorship under master coaches: o 2 practice sessions per week, optional 3 rd practice - Players will receive: 2 uniforms, practice shirts, spandex, knee pads, socks - Compete in 3-4 of the top tournaments in the region, 1 in state Qualifier - Full access to our volleyball facility and all supplemental training programs. - Full access to USA South Coaches for Private Lessons - Participation in club fundraising opportunities. - Indoor Club season runs from November through April. 12 12 USA SOUTH RIVERDALE PROGRAM USA South Riverdale Program is provided for all of those volleyball players in the North Lee County area who wish to receive all the benefits of the standard USA South Volleyball program without all the extra travel. We strongly believe that volleyball is starting to grow in this area of SW Florida and we want those players who wish to improve their skills to have the opportunity to receive some of the top coaching and programming in the area. We also understand the flexibility that is needed with scheduling and costs. This program does not exclude players from this area from being able to tryout and participate on our National Team Program in Estero if they wish to do so. Below you will find details on what you will receive by participating in the Riverdale Program. Riverdale Program Individual & Team, technical & tactical training, and mentorship under the guidance of experienced, professional, and highly skilled coaches. Our consistent and comprehensive training curriculum includes the following: - This program will consist of 2 teams with 10 players on each team. - The program will be run and coached by one of USA South's top coaches Roni Hipp. - Volleyball season will be December through April/May. - Teams will participate in a minimum of 4 AAU/USAV Tournaments. - Tournament selection will be based on schedules of the players on the team. - Players will practice on Wednesday and Sunday at Riverdale High School. - There will be setter training provided once a week for all setters. - All players will have the option to participate in Position Training in Estero. Club Fees - Administrative costs & expenses - Insurance and membership registrations - Facilities, equipment and uniforms - Coaching and Instruction - All travel costs including hotel rooms, tournament registration and coaches per diem Riverdale Teams All Ages Total $995 This cost does not include USAV Regional's or any additional tournaments they team may decide to play. Those costs would be additional and billed at the time of the tournament. A payment plan will be made available for those who wish to pay the fees over a period of time

13 13 TRAVEL POLICY At USA South we expect our players and coaches to represent the club in a professional and respectable manner when traveling to and participating in tournaments. All players will be expected to follow the rules stated in Player and Parent Contract. The off court actions of our players and coaches are just as important as those on the court. In today s recruiting atmosphere college coaches are looking for players who are well disciplined both on and off the court. All players must secure transportation to and from all tournament locations. Players must arrive to the hotel and/or gym by the specified time and attend all team meetings designated by their coach. Players on all teams, both National and Regional, will stay in hotel rooms with their family. If the player s family is not attending the tournament they can arrange for their daughter to stay with another family. Families are welcome to reserve extra rooms for players to stay in as groups but those parents will be responsible for the player s actions while staying at the hotel. Families will be required to stay in tournament chosen hotels when required and will be notified by the club when that is required. Players must also remember to bring meal money when attending tournaments and when team meals are not provided. Absolutely no boys are allowed at the team hotel. All players will have curfew every night. Players are not allowed to leave the room after curfew unless it is an emergency in which case they will call the coach. Prior to curfew players will always travel in groups and never alone. Players are not to leave the hotel or playing venue without notifying their coach. Drugs, tobacco, and alcohol are of course strictly forbidden. Players caught with the above will meet with staff and their parents to determine the course of action. Punishments will be swift and firm.

14 14 ESTIMATED TRAVEL COSTS Travel costs are billed monthly for players based on the tournaments they play. All travel costs must be paid by the due date in order for players to participate in practice or tournaments. Travel costs consist of: tournament entry fee, hotel rooms for players and coaches, per diem and expenses for coaches. Travel fees can vary from team to team based on the location of the tournaments, number of days in the tournament and the number of players on a team. Below you will find an estimate on the monthly travel costs for each of our programs based on the number of projected tournaments. This is only an estimate and the club does not guarantee these costs, this is for budgetary reasons only. 15 15 PLAYER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USA South has implemented an online player management system. This system will become the home for of all the operations, administration, billing and team management for USA South staff and members. Parents, staff, and directors alike will access this web based system for all of their club needs. Below is a list of features and tools available to our USA South members. Receive all bills and detailed invoicing for club fees and travel costs Make secured online credit card payments Account status and track payments Print missing forms Pre-register for new or upcoming programs Update personal information Create player profile page to be posted on website (all players get a page) View practice attendance and team practice schedule Access team contacts Receive instant alerts on any team schedule changes Enter fundraising receipts to deduct from account

16 16 PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (P.A.C.) USA South has put in place a Parent Advisory Committee that will be comprised of a parent representative from each age group. This committee will meet with the club directors on a monthly basis to discuss opportunities to improve USA South for the players, the parents, and the organization. Each representative will act as a communication source for their age group. Representatives will assist the club in recommendations for new programs, travel, fundraising, events, and be a source to address any club issues. This committee serves in an advisory capacity only and all final decisions will be made by the club directors. The committees input and suggestions, however, are being sought out and are valued by the USA South Club directors. The committee s input will be earnestly and thoroughly evaluated by the club directors before any material policy decisions are implemented. FUNDRAISING USA South understands that all of our student athletes can use help in affording club volleyball year in and year out. It is very important to us that every athlete who wishes to play for USA South has the opportunity and is not discouraged from playing due to the cost. Each season we will be providing at least one opportunity for our athletes to participate in a fundraiser in which each athlete can raise money to help reduce the cost of participation in our program. All money that is earned by the athlete will be deducted from the Club Fees for that season. SCHOLARSHIPS The Scholarship Fund allows USA South to assist those local athletes who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in a volleyball program or receive the training USA South provides. USA South believes that besides developing athletic skills, a player's participation in this club can foster lasting friendships, develop leadership and cooperation skills for everyday life, and may provide an avenue towards a volleyball scholarship at a major university. We do, however, understand that participation is expensive due to the costs of gym facilities, tournaments, travel, and coaching and administration staff. Therefore, we make every attempt to provide those in need with scholarship awards. Please visit the website for more information on how this program works.

17 17 DISPUTE RESOLUTIONS & REFUNDS In the event a participant/parent has an issue or dispute with the programming or billing of USA South that dispute and/or issue must be addressed with the Director of USA South. Both parties will meet and discuss viable options to resolve the dispute/issue in a manner that benefits both parties. If an amicable solution is not agreed upon both parties agree to dissolve any type of ongoing commitments and contractual obligations with no further going to the club or refunds to the participant/parent. Refunds will be awarded for the following circumstances: 1) Player is injured during the course of the club season and will no longer be able to participate or complete the club season. Club will retain monies for services already rendered and return any monies paid for future services. 2) Player due to illness must miss an extended time of the club season, unable to participate in practices or tournaments. Club will retain monies for services already rendered and return any monies paid for future services. 3) Player must withdraw from the club program due to school related or educational grades. Club will retain monies for services already rendered and return any monies paid for future services. *Club will not provide refunds for players who chose to no longer participate on a team or withdraw from the club program prior to the end of the season for any reason other than those mentioned above.
