Here are ten good reasons why you should choose Envirotech International College when thinking of studying in Australia.

2 Western Australia Northern Territories South Australia Queensland We are here Envirotech Gold Coast Campus New South Wales Envirotech Byron Bay campus Victoria SVP = Genuine Students, Welcome to Australia! Tasmania 1. STREAMLINED VISA PROCESSING (SVP) What is SVP? (Source: border.gov.au website) The Australian Student Visa program divides the world s countries into 3 assessment (risk) levels. Applicants from assessment levels 2 and 3 are subject to more difficult visa assessment criteria than those from assessment level 1. In November 2014, the Australian government and its Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) nominated 55 academic institutions from across Australia to participate in the SVP program, allowing their prospective students to enjoy a more streamlined visa processing. Envirotech was selected for this program as one of the 55 approved SVP institutions. Under the streamlined visa arrangements, eligible student visa applicants for applicants enrolling to study with the participating education providers are not assigned an assessment level, and will generally have reduced evidentiary requirements (similar to those that apply under Assessment Level 1) regardless of their country of origin. All international students applying for a student visa at an Advanced Diploma level course (or package of courses) will be processed by Envirotech as an assessment level one (1) application, regardless of their country of origin. What does the SVP mean? Enjoy an efficient visa application assessment resulting in a substantially faster and smoother visa process. Be able to apply for a student visa in Australia as a low risk applicant, and you will not be required to depart Australia to apply for the student visa (unless your visa is restricted with the no further stay condition). Be assessed internally by Envirotech s SVP officers to support the Student Visa application with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP), ensuring a supportive visa process for both agents and students. Envirotech assessment of students applications for SVP visa includes: Financial Capacity student ability to sustain the course and living costs for their first year in Australia, including their personal circumstances and financial commitments. English Language Level a minimum of 5.5 IELTS or equivalent assessment, including Envirotech internal assessment when IELTS or other assessment is not available. Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) and Genuine Student (GS) are integrity measures assessing students intentions towards their student visa, to ensure that the Student visa Programme is used as intended and not used as a way of enter Australia for reasons other than study, for example: maintaining de facto / permanent residency in Australia. The assessment includes aspects such as relevance of previous education, future career goals, intention to return to their home country, and previous migration compliance and history. 2. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! So, where are we located? Envirotech operates two beach front campuses for your convenience: Byron Bay (NSW) Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast (QLD) Both campus locations are internationally recognised, close to beaches, surf, shops and transportation. The Burleigh Heads campus: The Burleigh Heads campus is situated in the best location on the Gold Coast (east coast Queensland, Australia): beachfront in the heritage building of the beautiful Old Theatre Arcade at the world-class Gold Coast Burleigh Beach. The campus is surrounded by boutique shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as only a stones-throw from the amazingly diverse and compact Burleigh Heads National park. Envirotech courses are delivered face to face and supported by an advanced E-Learning platform for the convenience of both students and teachers. Using the e-learning assessment platform means that students can progress with their daily assessment at their own pace, as well as communicate with their classmates, trainers, tutors and assessors via the online messages (chat) as a social platform during and after course hours. Unlike distance learning based programs, the Envirotech blended learning online experience is supported by a teacher in class two full days per week, delivering sessions, guiding students and assisting them with assessment activities throughout their study period. Using e-learning means that students have important information at their fingertips, including grades, messages to and from trainers and assessors, and learning materials. The platform is accessible via laptops, tablets and mobile devices. 5. OUR STAFF What s so special about our staff? Our team of highly qualified staff consists of highly trained and qualified people from around the world. Most of our staff are fluent in at least one another language. An internship varies in length and location, objectives, or academic requirements, and is usually an unpaid placement. Participation in this program will provide the intern with work experience, which can be linked to their course of study at Envirotech An internship in Australia will give you the opportunity to gain practical training and experience and the valuable course-related skills which you gain will add value to your resume, improve your employability options either within your country or within Australia, and contribute greatly to your understanding of Australian culture and business environments. Benefits of undertaking an internship include: Additional professional work experience hours not taking away from the 40 hours/fortnight paid employment permitted with a student visa. 4 7. MENTORING AND ASSESSMENT DAYS 8. THINKING ABOUT YOUR NEEDS What s it all about? A mentor is a trusted counsellor, guide, trainer or appointed student that is there to assist our students in their academic and non-academic related matters as required. The mentoring program is delivered by Envirotech s experienced trainers and outstanding senior students, who demonstrated high achievements. The program provides students in need of personal support and guidance support to focus on areas of difficulties in their academic program and or personal life. We know that coming to a new country involves a lot of arrangements and uncertainties. We understand that sometimes it can be difficult for students to maintain the necessary level of academic progress when there may be personal affecting their life. A team of trainers and assessors, together with selected upper level undergraduates, work with first-year students or any other students requiring support by role-modelling leadership, academic, and social skills. Supporting students through challenges assist in improving their ability to concentrate on their academic journey. Rolling intakes Envirotech courses have intakes (entry points) every month, allowing you to choose when it is convenient for you to commence your studies. You are not required to wait for the beginning of the year or for limited entry points along the year. Term/Vacation (10/3) cycles Envirotech terms (study periods) are of ten weeks. Between each term students enjoy three weeks vacation, making it ideal time to catch up on any missing assignments, travel in Australia, or to work full time. Work Placement Internship Program International students in Australia are normally allowed to work 40 hours fortnightly (20 hours per week) and usually these working hours are in nonprofessional positions. As part of our exclusive work placement program, all Envirotech students under work placement approved qualifications are allowed to work up to 16 additional hours that are strictly professional, as part of their formal approved work placement. 5 9. UNIVERSITY PATHWAYS, CREDIT AND RPL University First Year Credits Gain entry to university degrees on the completion of Diplomas or Advanced Diplomas in a range of study areas. Envirotech Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas are an option for students who are looking for direct entry to a degree or who would benefit from a more supportive style of learning. They are equivalent to the first year of university and can provide a pathway to the second year of a related bachelor degree. Guaranteed University Entry Business Diploma to Business Degree. Students who successfully complete Advanced Diploma of Business are guaranteed a place in the Bachelor of Business (excluding majors in Accounting and Accounting and Finance) with our partner universities. Recognition of Prior Learning Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a form of assessment that recognises skills and knowledge that have been gained via formal training, industry employment, or education. Qualifications gained through the RPL process are identical to those gained in classroom learning. Envirotech understands that skills and knowledge learned in class can be gained through formal training conducted by industry, education, work experience and/or life experience, and can enable a professionals to obtain a nationally recognised qualification by evidencing their professional and vocational experience. RPL focuses on the applicants skills, employment and personal outcomes and abilities rather than how, when or where the learning took place. It credits for skills and knowledge acquired in the past through work, life experience, hobbies and other activities and allows for endorsement of applicants learning for employment or visa applications. If a candidate is found to be not yet competent in a module, their assessor will ask them for further information and advise them on the best way to obtain it, or may offer gap training to obtain the qualification. 10.
