2 Voz Telecom offers a flat rate plan to its enterprise customers Oigaa, a service provided by Voz Telecom, is the leading VoIP service in Spain. In April, Voz Telecom launched Oiga Total Plan, the first flat-rate bundled offer for businesses to include unlimited calls over VOIP. The Oigaa Total plan includes broadband Internet, landline and mobile phone calls over VoIP and unlimited data transfer. Prices start at 149 per month. Voz Telecom expects that about 20% of Spanish companies will subscribe to its Oiga plans by Apr 09 Spain WSE Enterprise & Pioneers Achieve The flat-rate bundled plan is helping Voz Telecom to build the Oiga brand in the business sector and attract new clients. 3 Batelco launches VoIP service for international direct dial calls Batelco now offers fixed and mobile customers the option of routing international calls through VoIP simply by dialling a short code. By registering for the service and dialling 122 before international calls, Batelco subscribers can save up to 91% of calling costs compared to standard international mobile and fixed rates. Costs vary according to destination country between 40 and 90 fils ( ) per minute. There is no sign-up fee and no monthly fee for the service. The new service offers convenience to Batelco s post-paid subscribers and is likely to boost the operator s share of international calls. 4 Sprint offers VOIP peering solution to wholesale customers Sprint has announced a new Partner Interexchange Network (PIN) as a solution for affordable business-to-business communications over VOIP. Under the PIN, access termination fees and LEC tandem fees are either lowered or eliminated, as partners of the Sprint community can directly exchange VoIP service between themselves while operating on Sprint s IP network. Sprint is pitching its PIN service at wholesale customers looking to lower costs for long-distance calling services. 5 Turk Telekom launches fixed-mobile voice service Aug 09 Turk Telekom has launched Wirofon, a service which allows its fixed-line broadband customers to make calls over VOIP from their mobile phones or PCs while at home. Turk Telekom fixed line users only need a Wi-Fi compatible mobile phone supporting SIP protocol or running the Windows Mobile OS, alternatively a computer with internet connection can be used. Calls made from one of these devices will be charged at the same rate as calls made from the user s landline. The operator is offering Wirofon for free to all fixed-line broadband subscribers in a bid to boost its value-added services offering. 6 Megafon launches "Mobile Desktop" package Aug 09 MegaFon Moscow is promoting a new package that combines unlimited Internet and data services with a multi-purpose device that aims to bring inoffice connectivity everywhere. Subscribers to the "Mobile Desktop" package receive the ETS-3060, a wireless phone that can be linked to a computer or point of sale via USBport to connect remotely to a company network. The package includes unlimited calling and mobile data rates under the "Office Zone" plan, starting at 190 Rubles (4.25 ) per month. 7 Bouygues Telecom Enterprises offers a mobile Internet plan with business applications Catering to SMBs and mobile professionals, Bouygues is offering a mobile Internet plan that includes Itool Facto, an application for managing clients and business documents. The plan includes unlimited 3G Internet use without voice service for per month. The use of the Itool Facto application comes at no extra charge, allowing users to edit and consult bills, estimates and receipts. Bouygues aims to attract independent professionals and SMB owners with the offer. 8 Vodafone launches VoIP service in Netherlands Oct 09 Vodafone Netherlands has introduced Internet Totaal Blox, a new service add-on that allows unlimited mobile VoIP calling for subscribers. Customers with a SIM-only plan or a postpaid plan at or less per month will pay per month for the VOIP add-on. Customers with a subscription of or more per month can add unlimited VOIP for Totaal Blox is expected to appeal to early adopters who already have a post-paid plan of over 30 and who frequently use all of their minutes. Netherlands WSE Transformers Coral Reef Live & Connect With the differentiated pricing for Internet Totaal Blox, Vodafone attempts to rebalance by allowing its revenues to shift from voice to data. 9 Axtel partners with Fring to extend fixed VoIP services to mobile Axtel, in partnership with Fring, has launched the Axtel Conmigo VoIP service, the first Mexican convergence service enabling subscribers to receive fixed telephone line calls on mobile devices. The service is free during the launch promotion as beta test, meaning that subscribers pay for calls to the mobile number as if it were a fixed line number. All calls between Fring customers are free. Customers can receive home phone calls as well as personal computer correspondence with popular social networks such as Skype, Facebook, Google Talk, Twitter and others, directly from their mobile devices. The Fring mobile VOIP app works on both Wi-Fi and 3G networks, and is compatible with a variety of mobile handsets. The service is likely to gain traction among budget conscious and young users. 10 Telefonica and Nexus launch Talky VoIP service Mar'10 Telefonica and Nexus Telecom AG have launched Talky, a new service in Brazil that allows users to make VoIP calls to mobile phones from computers and fixed line phones. Talky to Talky calls are free, while calls to landlines in Brazil cost R$0.15 ( 0.06) per minute, and calls to landlines in 70 countries cost R$0.19 ( 0.08) per minute. Users can also have a virtual landline number for R$ 4.90 ( 2.06) per month, allowing them to receive calls on a mobile phone or computer. Telefonica is partnering with a VoIP company to provide low cost rates that otherwise could have been routed using a VoIP competitor. Talky is now available in Sao Paulo and will be rolled out in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba and Campinas during Brazil LAT Maturing Builders Connect Talky is likely to gain traction among budget conscious users and to help Telefonica face increasing competition from VoIP service providers.
