2 Third seminar on generation IV nuclear energy systems , Lappeenranta University of Technology The NETNUC project of the Sustainable Energy (SusEn) research program of the Finnish Academy arranges a seminar intended for postgraduate students and also for those generally interested in Generation IV issues. The invited lecturers are both from Finland and abroad. The intention is to give an inspiring knowledge package about special issues concerning Generation IV reactors as well as to tell about the first results of the Finnish project. We expect people from the utility companies TVO and Fortum, from STUK, from the ministries and the Academy of Finland to participate, as well as researchers from VTT and the universities, along with postgraduate students from the universities in Finland and abroad. Also people who are now or have been involved in building the Finnish nuclear fleet are welcome. Especially through the foreign lecturers we will have contact to the main R&D projects in Gen IV, both in EU and GIF. Acknowledgement to Fortum Foundation for the grant to organize the event.
