Project Director "Beyond the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)" - a statewide training initiative funded through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. As a part of this project, funded for three years, I researched and wrote two technical assistance guides for community colleges to enable them to better serve students with disabilities. In January of 1994, I organized and conducted a statewide ADA conference in Austin for counselors and other staff of Community Colleges. Participants, the staff of the Coordinating Board, and other state agency staff that were involved evaluated this conference as excellent East Texas State University at Texarkana Ad Interim Faculty- Special Education Department The University of Texas Austin, Texas Adjunct Faculty- Special Education and Rehabilitation Department Taught graduate and undergraduate courses. Supervisor for Student Teachers Graduate Assistant- University Affiliated Program Taught undergraduate preservice courses. Assisted in coordination of two national conferences- National Conference of Rural and Small Schools and the University Affiliated Program National Conference. Wrote federal grant for University Southwestern University Georgetown, Texas Ad Interim Assistant Professor- Special Education Department Co-wrote and developed the first field-based special education teacher certification program at Southwestern.
