11 Withdrawals, Cancellations, and Refunds All fees are due upon registration. Any courses cancelled by Bow Valley College will result in a 100% refund. Approved refunds are issued within two to three weeks of notification by the student for a withdrawal or cancellation. Payments made by Visa or MasterCard are refunded back to the credit card originally used for payment. Any outstanding fees are deducted from the total refund amount. To cancel a Continuing Education registration or to withdraw from a course, please registration@bowvalleycollege.ca CREDIT COURSES DROP DEADLINE AND REFUNDS The drop deadline refers to the last day to drop from term courses/programs and still be eligible for 100% tuition refund. Courses that do not follow the regular term dates may have different drop dates; for these courses the drop date is based on 12.5% of the course length and is listed under your current enrolments on mybvc.ca All tuition, student services fees, and materials fees are 100% refundable up to the drop date deadline. Students Association Fees are only refundable prior to the start of the program or course. WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE The withdrawal deadline refers to the last day to withdraw from a course in the term with a W grade. Withdrawals after this date will result in a WF grade. A withdrawal cannot be requested after the course has ended. NON-CREDIT COURSES COURSES OF ONE OR TWO DAYS IN DURATION Cancellation prior to the first day of class will result in a 100% refund of tuition. No refund will be granted on or after the first day of class. COURSES LONGER THAN TWO DAYS IN DURATION Withdrawal by the end of the first day of class will result in a 100% refund. 12 Learning Options TRADITIONAL IN-CLASS LEARNING HOMESTUDY Face-to-face, instructor-paced courses are ideal for individuals who prefer an on-campus, classroom setting, with a regular schedule, and direct instructor support. REAL TIME ONLINE Live classes are led by an instructor in a virtual classroom where students attend class by logging into the instructor's shared website along with fellow classmates. Each class is recorded to allow students to access lessons at a later time for review and study purposes. Instructors and tutors provide additional support via telephone, , and other online support features. ANYTIME ONLINE Online learning is delivered through the Internet which allows you to study at your own pace from your home, work, overseas, or wherever you happen to be. Students may be required to write exams at the college testing centre, at an ecampusalberta partner college, or arrange to have their exam proctored at an approved location. Instructors and/or tutors provide support through telephone or . Learning materials are mailed to your home address, and you have the flexibility to progress at your own pace and complete the course before the scheduled end date.
