Through our industry-leading curriculum, attendees will gain in-depth technical knowledge, valuable hands-on experience and real-world tips from expert instructors that can save time and money on every job. With so many benefits to your business, the value of Lenel OnGuard training is as easy to recognize as our certification badges. We ve made it simple, convenient and as cost-effective as possible to get the training required to meet the certification objectives. The most appropriate format of delivery is utilized for each topic including traditional Classroom, Distance Learning and self-paced Elective Learning modules. This streamlined approach ensures everyone gets training that s relevant in the quickest, most efficient way. Training Classroom training Our experienced instructors pride themselves on making traditional classroom learning fresh, dynamic and approachable. We offer courses across multiple times zones and locations to accommodate almost any need and preference. Classroom training provides the results-driven learning that s especially convenient and cost-effective for larger groups. Where logistics are favourable UTC Fire and Security can offer our Classroom training at the Value Added Reseller location if preferred. elearning For those who need to learn more about specific topics, our self-paced classes provide additional in-depth, technical exploration of key topics. We continue to expand our elearning offerings based on positive feedback and course demand, giving you more ways than ever to access industryleading instruction. Courses are available any time, day or night, along with an easy-to-use web portal that lets you track your progress. Distance learning These web-based classes combine the energy of live, expert instructors with the flexibility of attending sessions from home, the office or even at your favorite internet café. Distance learning is used as a tool to maintain certification over the years. Students wishing to remain certified are required to complete courses that keep their knowledge, skills and abilities current. Each time a new version of the OnGuard product is released, certified personnel are required to complete the corresponding distance learning course within 120 days and pass a recertification exam every two years. User classes UTC Fire and Security offer a range of end-user training options to help operators and system managers gain the maximum benefit from their investment. These classes fall outside the scope of the Lenel Certification program and do not result in certification benefits.

3 Certification levels Step 1: Associate Entry-level certification representing foundational knowledge of the basic implementation of a Lenel electronic security system. Associate certification is the starting point for all Lenel certification tracks, and is earned following the successful completion of the OnGuard Core course and Associate-level exam. Step 2: Professional Represents advanced knowledge in at least one of the content-specific concentration areas (access, video, intrusion, and/or data). Professional certification is earned following the successful completion of any professional-level course and the corresponding professional-level exam. Step 3: Expert Represents in-depth knowledge and expertise of all components in at least one content specific concentration area (access, video, intrusion, and/ or data). Expert certification is earned following the successful completion of all expert-level courses (in any concentration area) and the corresponding expertlevel exam.

This essential certification covers product installation and upgrade management and is the bedrock for further certification paths. Access For service technicians, system engineers, and support specialists responsible for designing, installing, configuring and maintaining OnGuard access control installations, including OnGuard Enterprise and biometrics products. Data For software technicians responsible for assessing and translating specific business requirements into technical solutions that are incorporated into advanced OnGuard installations through direct or indirect manipulation of the OnGuard database, the construction of fault-tolerant environments and deployment of OnGuard web-services. Video For service technicians, system engineers, and support specialists responsible for designing, installing, configuring and maintaining, Lenel video surveillance solutions. Intrusion & Fire For service technicians, system engineers, and support specialists responsible for designing, installing, configuring and maintaining, intrusion and fire detection installations using either Access Series Lenel hardware or attached Intrusion and Fire detection hardware. In addition to the classes available to support the four certification streams UTC Fire and Security offer a range of specialist classes to further enhance product knowledge.
