5 Product Safety Pre-Shipment Inspection From shipping audits to international approval. Pre-Shipment Inspection, Shipping Audits CE- marking International trade demands inspection of goods before, during and after forwarding in order to assure correct, undamaged and punctual deliveries. This is the only way to prevent delays, disputes and losses. One of TÜV AUSTRIA s many responsibilities is the inspection of quality, quantity, packing and loading. Besides other documents, TÜV AUSTRIA inspection certificates are the basis on which the letter of credit is paid by the banks or the precondition to export to certain countries. For many products a CE-marking is required by EU directives. The relevant conformity assessment procedures have to be followed strictly. TÜV AUSTRIA can support you in the CE-marking procedure. For certain high-risk products it is compulsory to bring a Notified Body into the process. TÜV AUSTRIA is a Notified Body for a multitude of directives.
