3 1. About This Document Purpose of this document is to highlight the new feature set with introduction of latest MachPanel version 4. It entails the impressive features that this new major release possesses along with the vast offering of functionality. 2. MachPanel v.4 MachPanel v.4 offers much more functionality to cater almost all needs of hosting business for service providers, resellers and end users. Unified integration of shared web & data hosting alongside SaaS hosting clearly implies the great significance of MachPanel s new major release (i.e. version 4). MachPanel now allows extensive flexibility by providing automated billing, help desk, network monitoring, management & provisioning services. Besides operational add-ons, this new version is equipped with a cool new look and user interface that makes the job easier and simple. Hence, an ALL-in-ONE Complete Business Automation Solution for Windows to automatically handle complications and complexities of hosting business has arrived that is in your reach. 3. Major New Features MachPanel v.4 comes with vast array of new functionality built into it. Below is just a glimpse of only the major key features that this versatile release offers: 1.1 Reseller Module Now, accounts can be created for the customers who need to resell hosting services to their end users. Reseller module has been introduced for various extensions namely, MachPanel s Hosted Exchange Extension (HEE) and MachPanel s Hosted SharePoint Extension (SPE), Hostmatic Extension and Hosted CRM Extension (HCE). 4 1.1.1 Reseller Module (Exchange Extension) Inclusion of reseller module of MachPanel s Hosted Exchange Extension (HEE) adds to the powerful functionality that this new version offers. Now reseller accounts can be created to manage hosting services. As a reseller, you can sign up new customers, distribute resources, and resell services to end customers as per your needs Reseller Module (SharePoint Extension) Addition of yet another powerful feature for MachPanel s Hosted SharePoint Extension (SPE) is the introduction of reseller module. Reseller module escalates the degree of operations that could now be performed through MachPanel, allowing the reseller to create accounts, sign up new customers, distribute resources, and resell services to end customers and to manage hosting services MachPanel s Hostmatic Extension with Reseller Module Hostmatic is one of the major highlights of MachPanel s new release v.4. MachPanel Hostmatic Extension deals with Shared Web & Data Hosting and that can efficiently scale to many processing cores and provides a comprehensive set of billing, management, help desk, and reselling services that are easy to deploy, manage, and integrate with your existing infrastructure. Hostmatic, in various verticals, have been designed to work seamlessly with array of providers, allowing users to manage and control several services through a single Control Server minimizing business complexities and offering intuitive user interfaces. In addition to automation, it provides broad 3rd party integrations with popular platforms to support multiple providers. 8 1.1.4 MachPanel s Hosted CRM Extension (HCE) with Reseller Module This major release encompasses the launch of a whole new extension (with reseller module) for MachPanel that caters Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and provides complete operational support. This extension is known as MachPanel s Hosted CRM Extension (HCE). 1.2 Exchange 2010 Support We are glad to announce that we are one of the first Control Panel supporting Exchange MachPanel Exchange Module is a complete automation solution and provisioning system for Microsoft Exchange Server It is tightly integrated with Microsoft Exchange Server to deliver all the features service providers are required to deploy and manage Exchange Hosting. For providing convenience to our customers, MachSol Inc. has developed an Exchange Segregation Utility to Prepare & Secure Exchange for Multitenant Hosting. The utility has been integrated with MachPanel Provisioning System and MachPanel Remote Server installation. This intelligent utility checks automatically on provisioning of an OU, whether the AD is segregated or not and in case of segregation, it automates configuration of segregated hosted exchange organization following set of guidelines from Microsoft. Few of the main highlights include: Provision for Exchange 2010 Server Groups. Interfaces included for Exchange 2010 Support. 1.3 Outlook Auto Profiler Another major feature includes Outlook Auto Profiler for exchange mailbox users. Outlook Auto Profiler unveils a much more user-friendly experience for end customers. It will create an outlook profile for mailbox by configuring the best access method and security settings for the user's specific computer system and connection type. 1.4 Separate Languages & Locale MachPanel provides more flexibility by adding support for additional languages and locales. 10 1.5 Miscellaneous Product Support Miscellaneous Product Support feature allows you to add non hosting product which you only want to track for billing purposes. It can be any service or product which your company is offering to its clients. You will be able to take orders and do billing, provisioning would be manual 2 Major Enhancements 2.1 Default Country Default country selection in country drop down lists has been improved. Now selected country in Provider Control Center (PCC) is same as Provider/Reseller settings. In Customer Control Center (CCC), default country selection is same as in customer profile. 2.2 Account Contacts Management related feature through which a client can identify his contacts. These contacts will have management capabilities inside MachPanel on specific options. 2.3 Direct to Support on Error MachPanel facilitates its customers to report any exception/error directly to MachSol Support department through . 11 2.4 Exchange Hosting Package Much improved Hosted Exchange package management is at the discretion of user that also allows well organized and managed add-ons. 2.5 Notifications System Facility This is an announcement facility that is provided in MachPanel v.4.it displays major announcements, alerts and notifications right at the dashboard. For example, when invoices are sent automatically, account expiry alerts, suspension alerts etc. 2.6 Bulk mailbox creation You can now create mailboxes in bulk by importing a CSV or typing large number of accounts in the area provided in control panel. 2.7 Customer Account Cancellation Now if you cancel a customer having large number of subscriptions, these subscriptions will get cancelled automatically when a customer is cancelled / terminated. 12 2.8 Progress Visibility Now, a progress bar is implanted on all required interfaces (like Database, Website settings, Update etc) in MachPanel s Configuration Studio as well as MachPanel s Remote Configuration Studio. 3 Other Enhancements MachPanel v.4 encompasses numerous bug fixes and enhancements, few of which are enlisted as under: Improved 1 st run screen design.
