1 COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION ANNUAL REPORT ONLINE SUMMARY DATA: DOCTORAL PROGRAMS ^Clicking a table title will automatically direct you to that table in this document *Programs that combine two or more developed practice areas (i.e. clinical, counseling, or school)
2 INTRODUCTION The Annual Report was created in to provide the American Psychological Association s Commission on Accreditation (CoA) more in-depth information in between full programmatic reviews. In order to maintain accreditation from one year to the next, programs must submit detailed information in the Annual Report. In previous years, the Annual Report was submitted in paper format; however, as of all submissions were required to be completed online. Since that time, programs have submitted their information via the Annual Report Online (ARO). The ARO requires programs to submit data about their students and faculty, as well as information on the program as a whole. This document provides a summary of the data provided on the - academic year. In the past, summary reports such as this were printed and provided annually to our constituents, professional psychology organizations, and to members of the public upon request. However, the CoA believes that these data will be better available to public electronically. Accordingly, from this point forward, all annual summary reports will be solely provided on the public website of the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation (OPCA). The data are provided in three main sections. First we provide data on the program as a whole. This includes items such as admission rates and time to degree completion. The second section provides data on students. You can find demographic information and undergraduate information on first year students here. The last section summarizes data on faculty members. This is where demographic and professional activities can be found. To better understand the data, we encourage you, as the reader and consumer, to use the information provided for your own analyses. We hope that this will facilitate better understanding of the changes occurring in our field now and in the future. If you have any questions or concerns about the data, please do not hesitate to contact the OPCA.

35 Doctoral - Faculty Level Data Faculty Classifications During the full-review process, programs must demonstrate that they have resources of appropriate quality and sufficiency to achieve education and training goals and objectives. The number and quality of faculty members falls under this requirement. When completing records on faculty members, programs must identify their role by selecting a classification. The definitions of these classifications are provided below. Classification Core Program Faculty Associated Program Faculty Contributors Definition Faculty members who devote at least % of their professional time to programrelated activities. See IR C- for clarification. This time does not include other department-related activities, such as undergraduate teaching or broader department administration, but only includes time devoted to the accredited program. Faculty members other than those identified as the program's core faculty, but have responsibilities within the program for teaching, advising, etc. This would include other faculty within the department and university that teach program courses. Individuals who have a role in the program, but to a much more limited extent than core or associated faculty and have minimal contact with students. This would include individuals who present seminars, regularly supervise practicum, or teach as adjunct faculty. *Click here to go back to table -C
