The information corresponds to data reported to the Board of Governors and the U.S. Department of Education; National Center for Education Statistics (IPEDS). 4 Page 29 PURPOSE The Fall 2015 profile presents metrics that describe the 2015 incoming class, all new and continuing students, and faculty/staff at Florida Polytechnic University. Student data presented in this report was extracted from our Student Information System as of a census date of September 21, Human Resources data used payroll records within this same timeframe. STUDENT ENROLLMENT This section presents various metrics used by the Office of Institutional Research to track student enrollment at the Institution. Total Headcount The Fall 2015 unduplicated headcount is 924 students. The Inaugural Class started with 540 students (Fall 2014), the University had a 71% growth in total student headcount in the past year. Total enrollment is considered as the duplicated headcount of student registered for classes. First year-to-second year retention rate is 76%. As of this Census, 60% of the student population is considered Freshman. Total Registered Headcount 924 Total Enrollment (Duplicated) 4,645 Retention Rate (Fall 2014 to Fall 2015) 76% Headcount by Student Rank Total Students Percentage of Total Headcount Freshman % Sophomore % Junior 27 3% Senior Graduate 37 4% New Student Profile A total of 462 new students registered this term; 97% of new students are undergraduates. It is interesting to note that 50% of the population is continuing students from academic year and 50% is new students. First-Time In College (FTIC) students represent the higher percentage of new students (82%). Compared to Fall 2014, FTIC shown a slightly higher High School GPA and ACT Score.

5 Page 30 In addition, Fall 2015 is the first term where International Students enrolled at the University. Five (5) international students enrolled; 3 undergraduates and 2 graduates. 6 Page 31 Student Diversity Student population at Florida Polytechnic University is predominantly white and male, 85% and 65.9% respectively. However, the Hispanic population is highly represented by 19.3% of the students. Each baccalaureate major has between 2 and 5 concentrations for students to specialize. The most popular majors are Computer Science & Information Technology (39%) and Mechanical & Industrial Engineering (24%). Florida Polytechnic top 5 concentrations are: Information Assurance & Cyber Security, Cyber Gaming, Nanotechnology, Multifunctional Materials, and Embedded System Design. Employees by Position Level Florida Polytechnic has a total of 267 staff and faculty members (including FIPR Florida Industrial & Phosphate Research Institute). 43% of total employees are considered full-time staff (including FIPR), 22% of total employees are faculty and 7% OPS. In addition the University hired 70 student workers and 6 graduate assistants.
