2 Objectives The Directorate for Lifelong Learning within the offers courses aimed at giving basic and widespread skills in ICT Developing computer or information technology skills can help the adult learner access a range of resources and services, such as online banking or shopping To progress to further learning, getting to grips with computers and the internet can help the adult learner save time and give access to free online resources

3 Applicants with DLLL must be 16 years of age or over Majority of courses start at the beginning of October and finish towards the end of May Short Courses (14 weeks) Scholastic Year Courses (around 32 weeks)

11 Computer Awareness Through this 14 week course, the learner will be able to demonstrate basic competence in applying ICT in simple everyday situations Total this year Male Female G Total

12 ICT Course in Family Learning This short course is designed for carers who want to help their children use ICT for their learning. Through this course the learner will be able to: engage and communicate effectively with their child and the school access on-line information and use a variety of technologies to engage with their child s learning particularly in their Primary years access, read and interpret a wide range of information provided by schools and available on line access information and services that can support them in their parenting role read, interpret and understand key information provided on line and on paper about children s early learning, development and progress

13 ECDL Core Consists of seven separate modules covering computer theory and practice. Module 1 is a theoretical test of computing knowledge at a general level and Modules 2-7 are practical skills tests Total this year Male Female G Total

Image Editing for beginners This basic course in image editing aims in helping the learners acquire the skills for manipulating digital images It will lead students to learn many skills used in manipulating digital photos 2. 16 AutoCAD 2D & 3D This award is a Vocational Related Qualification (VQR) in Computer Aided Design It has been designed by City & Guilds to meet customers' needs for modern, up-to date and flexible qualification Total this year Male Female G Total

17 Java Programming This course is intended for programming beginners who would like to acquire an understanding of the core principles of Java. Java is a widely used object-oriented programming language By the end of this course, through the use of Java, the learner will be able to develop applications that use basic programming constructs
