1 Data Center as Service Offering Brief NetApp Private Storage for Amazon Web Services Overview NetApp Private Storage for AWS is an enterprise private storage solution for Amazon Web Services. Delivered in collaboration with AWS, this solution allows enterprise customers to combine the performance and control of private storage resources with the efficiency and elasticity benefits of the AWS cloud. The offering integrates dedicated NetApp enterprise storage, AWS cloud and network resources and colocation services into an infrastructure solution for on-demand performance computing. With NetApp Private Storage for AWS, organizations gain public cloud cost, flexibility and time to market benefits while maintaining data control, compliance and mobility. Partners and their end-customers are able to leverage Avnet s integration expertise, AWS cloud infrastructure knowledge and colocation experience in bringing the solution components together and delivering it to market. Since NetApp Private Storage for AWS is comprised of components from several vendors, Avnet has created pre-architected offering packages (called Avnet CloudAttach) that make it easier for resellers to position, price, sell and implement the solution. Of course additional NetApp and AWS configurations are available through a custom engineering and quoting engagement. Offering Details Customer-owned NetApp private storage resides in an AWS certified co-location facility connected to AWS through a dedicated high-speed connection called Amazon Direct Connect. The offering provides all the foundational services in quick-start CloudAttach packages including AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), AWS Direct Connect network connection, data center colocation services to house the filer and integration services to streamline deployment.
