14 Onboarding Process As part of the supplier qualification process within THD there are several steps that need to be taken prior to placing a PO to a supplier. These are driven by THD but executed by 3 rd. party service providers Audits to factory: Quality System Assesment (QSA) Social Environmental Responsibility Audit (SER) Global Security Verification (GSV) Global Trade Risk (GTR) Audit to Product: Pre-Purchase Test (PPT) Compliance with our requirements and with any specific industry standards.. One test per SKU. Must send sample to service provider Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI) Once PO has been placed. Prior to shipment. One time for every shipment 14

15 Onboarding Process Doing business with THD Mexico, require us to perform audits and tests in order to ensure we have Suppliers, Factories & Products according to our standards. 16 Additional Information & Other Expenses PLI (Product Liability Insurance) The cost is depending on the product and the sales volume each year. The annual cost will be around $680 USD if insured by our recommended broker. You can also find other insurance companies to get the insurance, but take in consideration that per Legal request, they must be Mexican Companies. Pallet - The use of Paper/Corrugated Pallets & Plywood / Manufactured Wood Pallets is prohibited for all The Home Depot product or goods, only solid wood pallet is allowed to be used. Barcode & GLN (Global Location Number) Supplier is responsible to get the barcode & GLN. When you get supplier# and product#, you are able to receive PO s. 3PL We use Damco or Expeditor logistic to handle all the export issues, please take their potential charges into consideration also.
