Among the newest coud business offerings is a Big Data and socia anaytics soution that Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) can use to get an emotiona reading on how customers view their brand. Coud computing is quicky becoming essentia to C-suite executives. Whie technoogy decisions have been made historicay by CIOs and IT Department Heads, the C-suite is adopting coud computing because they see its abiity to transform their front office processes - marketing, procurement, suppier management, human resources and ega. In fact, industry anaysts estimate that by 2017, CMOs wi spend more on IT than CIOs. 2 2. Infosys Infosys AssistEdge has been recognized by Goba Teecoms Business, the eading pubication for teecom carriers wordwide. On June 4, at a packed hote in London with teecom providers from a over the word, Infosys and BT took center stage to pick up the Goba Teecoms Business Innovation Award in the Consumer Service Innovation category. This is the second consecutive win for Infosys and BT. On the occasion, Phi Townsend, CIO, Openreach, Service Management said, Providing a first-cass customer experience is vita to Openreach. Capgemini Lanny Cohen, previousy Head of Capgemini Group Appication Services North America, has been appointed as Goba Chief Technoogy Officer (CTO) of Capgemini Group. In his new roe he aso joins the Group s Executive Committee and runs the Group s goba CTO network. Acting across a the Capgemini businesses, he wi hep the whoe Group integrate new technoogy trends and respond to cient needs and wi be responsibe for strengthening the reationship with partners on technoogy matters. He wi aso Chair the Group Inteectua Property (IP) soutions board and wi retain his Chairmanship of the North America Country Board, which coordinates commercia activities of Capgemini in North America. 3 4. Vodafone Sainsbury s and Vodafone UK have formed a joint venture to aunch Mobie by Sainsbury s in the UK. Mobie by Sainsbury s wi be run as a joint venture between Sainsbury's and Vodafone UK combining Sainsbury s brand, customer insight and retai distribution with Vodafone s expertise, technoogy and network providing mobie services to Sainsbury s customers both in store and onine. The 50/50 joint venture wi be ed by a management team of experienced mobie, retai and marketing experts, made up of key personne from both Sainsbury's and Vodafone. Mobie by Sainsbury s, which wi aunch ater this summer, wi reward customer oyaty, offer great quaity vaue-for-money mobie products together with attractive offers - and of course Nectar points. Justin King, Sainsbury s CEO said, We are deighted to announce this partnership. Repy The recent Repy Xchange event highighted some very interesting visions of the (near) future of converged, muti-channe retaiing, bringing together a patforms incuding stores, payments and traditiona advertising to offer a seamess vision of how mobie can reay gue together retai. This concept of mixed reaity finay offers a vision of how augmented reaity can actuay be put to interesting and practica use etting users create their own avatar, so that you can then start to try on cothes that you see in store or onine as we as advertised in magazines and even on tube trains and bus stops. The AR technoogy uses watermarking hidden signs within images that ets you import an avatar of the item or outfit in the image and puts it on your own avatar. You can then store these in your wardrobe in the coud to ook at ater, share sociay with your friends, or even try on images of the cothes super-imposed on your actua body if you have an Xbox360 motion detection cam and the software on your smart TV. You can then either buy these things onine from your wardrobe, or you can buy them in store and Repy has aso deveoped a simpe mobie payment too that requires a card to be registered once and then the shopping app branded typicay to the store, but coud aso work for banks can be used to pay simpy by scanning a QR code. This puts mobie at the core of how consumers engage and buy from retaiers and brings together a the discipines of muti-channe retai into one singe service. 4 6. Wipro Wipro BPO has once again been recognized by Gartner, Inc. in the eaders quadrant in the report, Magic Quadrant for Finance and Accounting (F&A) BPO, Goba. Gartner positioned Wipro in the eaders quadrant based on its abiity to execute and competeness of vision. The Magic Quadrant evauated vendor capabiities in the Comprehensive Finance and Accounting business process outsourcing market among 17 providers. Gartner defines comprehensive F&A processes as the outsourcing of three or more finance processes to a singe provider. The report aso said, This Magic Quadrant offers a deep anaysis of the competitive positioning for comprehensive F&A BPO services by showcasing the reative pacing of the main payers in the market according to a variety of criteria, and by offering detaied strengths and cautions for each of the incuded vendors. CGI CGI Group has announced the aunch of CGI Advantage360, an enterprise resource panning (ERP) soution designed to optimize government business operations. This new offering combines software, support, services and hosting in one comprehensive, integrated package for financia management, budgeting, human resource management, procurement and business inteigence. CGI Advantage360 aows agencies to spend ess effort getting their business support technoogy right and more on the deivery of services that maximize the performance of government. Pubic agencies are increasingy asking for ERP soutions that feature rapid impementation, ower, predictabe tota cost of ownership and performance capabiities that meet their operationa needs, said Danie Keene, CGI Vice-President and CGI Advantage Program Leader. 5 8. PA Consuting PA Consuting Group and NHS Engand have picked up the award for best coud innovation too in Computer Weeky s European User Awards for Enterprise Software. The award recognises innovation through the use of enterprise software and information management. PA worked with QikTech and Googe Enterprise to deveop a coud-based inteigence too that gives NHS Engand the power to anayse its data more efficienty which in turn can hep to improve heath outcomes by quicky identifying trends, such as high mortaity rates. The too s deveopment brings together over 100 indicators from 15 different nationa sources, covering NHS Engand incuding A&E performance and mortaity rates. Anaysing compex data on such a arge scae is chaenging, but PA deivered an inteigent soution which aows NHS Engand to measure trends in a consistent and effective way. Vitay, the too presents heath commissioners with a singe version of the truth, which enabes swift decisions and corrective action to be taken. By using Googe Enterprise s BigQuery product and the QikView Business Inteigence Discovery patform, PA has improved NHS Engand s abiity to assess performance within and across providers, spot trends and anomaies quicky, and activey manage the quaity of care. The winning soution is unique in that it not ony co-ordinates automated data feeds for anaysis and reporting, but BigQuery and QikView aow the user to interactivey expore the entire data set in rea time.
