2 Launching from a Laptop StudyTower.com will launch Inkling titles in its online reader ( The online Inkling reader will open the title clicked in StudyTower. 1. Open StudyTower and log into your account. a. Pepperdine Address (EX: [email protected]) b. Password: The password is what was entered after your accepted the StudyTower invitation. 2. Click the Inkling title shown (e.g. Beautiful Visualization) a. Click the i icon when you hover over the left corner to open the instruction page. b. Click the cover image to open the Provider Instructions page.

3 3. Click on the launch button seen on the screen depending on if you clicked the cover image or i icon. a. Launch screen from the cover Image. b. Launch screen from the i icon. 4. You are now on Inkling s website. Click the Sign Up button in the upper right hand corner or as seen below.

4 5. You are now on the Inkling log on page. Click Log In. 6. Enter your Pepperdine address in the Address field. Your default password is the first three letters of your first name and first three letters of your last name. Enter this in the Password field and tap Continue a. EX. Address: b. EX. Password: fragen 7. You are now logged onto your Inkling account and directed to your Inkling title.(e.g. Beautiful Visualization) a. IMPORTANT: You are able to exit out of Inkling but DO NOT Sign Out of Inkling.

5 IMPORTANT: Please do not clear any of your cache, cookies, or history. IMPORTANT: If the above is done on the ipad, it will need to be repeated on your laptop/ desktop and vise versa.

6 Launching from an ipad StudyTower will launch Inkling titles on your ipad. Inkling titles are downloaded to the ipad and available offline. The Inkling reader on the ipad automatically opens to the last title viewed, which is not necessarily the title tapped in StudyTower. If this happens you may tap the Books button to browse to the book you want to open. 1. Tap the StudyTower application found on your ipad home screen. 2. Enter your Pepperdine address in the Address field. Tap Next on your keyboard. Enter the password you created when you accepted the StudyTower invitation. Tap Go on your keyboard. a. IMPORTANT: Your password is case sensitive. 1. Once you are logged into StudyTower, tap an Inkling title (e.g. Beautiful Visualization).

7 2. StudyTower will then display the title/title details. Tap Open Book in Inkling. 3. If you do not already have the Inkling app, StudyTower will prompt you to download and install it. Tap Download a. IMPORTANT: If you already have the Inkling application, skip to step 7.

8 4. StudyTower will redirect you to the Inkling application inside the App Store. Tap Free. Tap Install App 5. The Inkling application will start to download.

9 6. Once the Inkling application is done downloading, Tap Open 7. The Inkling application will launch and bring you to the Inkling home page. Tap Log In

10 8. Tap Log In 9. Enter your Pepperdine address in the Address field. Your default password is the first three letters of your first name and first three letters of your last name. Enter this in the Password field and tap Continue a. EX. Address: b. EX. Password: fragen

11 10. Inkling will now log you into your account, load your titles and it will appear on your shelf. 11. Tap the Inkling title (e.g. Beautiful Visualization)

12 12. The Inkling title will then open (e.g. Beautiful Visualization) 13. You will remain logged in to Inkling even if you close the app. a. IMPORTANT: DO NOT Sign Out of Inkling. 14. Please return to your StudyTower shelf and tap on the Inkling title(s). 15. Inkling will now launch to your Inkling bookshelf without needing to enter your log in credentials. IMPORTANT: If the above is done on the ipad, it will need to be repeated on your laptop/ desktop and vise versa.
