1 Project Information Existing Conditions Cracked and settled pavement. Structural failure within the asphalt pavement section. Anticipated Project Elements Reconstruction of all asphalt pavement on US Route 202, all ramps in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and the shoulders of US Route 202 in New Jersey. Spalled concrete and loose mortar on PA Route 32 bridge. Replacement of concrete roadway panels which have cracked and settled on both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey segments of US Route 202. Loose mortar on the masonry for the main river bridge. NJ Route 29 has deteriorated bearings, joints and paint, rusted girders, and deteriorated concrete. Spall repairs on the PA Route 32 bridge and repoint deteriorated sections of the masonry on the PA Route 32 bridge and main river bridge. Peeling paint on light poles and overhead sign structures. On the NJ Route 29 bridge: Repair all spalls and delaminated concrete in the piers. Replace all bearings with new elastomeric bearings. Perform steel repairs to replace areas with section loss. Replace all deck joints. Blast clean and paint the entire steel superstructure. Seal the decks of all 3 bridges. Clean and paint all lights and overhead sign structures.
