3 Response Thank you for your request for information received by us on Wednesday 30 th September We have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act With regard to your questions on JNCC IT provision, we provide the following information (each question has been answered in turn): Local Area Network a. What manufacturer/s is your Local Area Network (LAN)? If referring to switches on the LAN Cisco. b. When does your support contract come up for renewal on the LAN? February c. What is the current cost of the LAN support contract? d. Which company is the LAN support contract with? JNCC has two offices the Peterborough office LAN equipment is under maintenance with Kelway. The LAN equipment in the Aberdeen office is managed by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency. Phone System a. What manufacturer/s is your Phone System? Alcatel-Lucent. b. When does your support contract come up for renewal on the Phone System? There is a 3 year support contract on the Phone System. This expires in March c. What is the current cost of the Phone System support contract? per annum. d. Which company is the Phone System support contract with? Freedom Communications. Storage area Network a. What manufacture/s is your Storage Area Network (SAN) HP MSA Gen 3. b. When was your SAN purchased? March c. When does your support contract come up for renewal on your SAN? March d. What is the current cost of your SAN support contract? The cost of the contract was included in the purchase price. Due to purchasing it at the end of the HP financial targets quarter, JNCC received a 5 year contract, therefore at present there are no costs associated with the HP care packs on the SAN. e. Which company is the SAN support contract with? HP HP Care Packs.

4 f. How many Virtual Servers are your running? 40. Connectivity a. What Internet connectivity does the organisation use? JNCC has 2 internet connections based on BTNETFlex. b. When are the internet contract/s up for renewal? September c. What is the current cost of the internet connectivity contract/s? Aberdeen 9300; Peterborough 11,300. d. Which company is the support contract/s with? JNCC doesn t have a support contract for the leased lines, the cost of the lines includes a routers at both sites; if there is an issue with the line we contact BT support. e. What voice connectivity services do you use within the organisation? ISDN30, however only 22 lines are active currently. f. When are the voice connectivity contract/s up for renewal? November 2015, the contract is a rolling contract. g. What is the current cost of the voice connectivity contract/s? 10,000 for leasing the lines and cost of calls. h. Which company is the voice connectivity contract/s with? As above. Data Centre a. Do you use any offsite/third party Data Centres? No. b.
