Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within Nottinghamshire Police to locate the information you require. RESPONSE Under S 1 (1) (a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), I can confirm that Nottinghamshire Police does hold the information you have requested. Please find below answers to your questions:- Question 1 How many suspensions of officers within your force commenced in the past five financial years (overall total); , , , , ? This information is held in calendar year as below: * - 2 * As at the date of your request

Five Question 4 How much has the suspension of officers cost your force in the past five financial years/past financial year (eg cost to organisation and salaries)? This information has previously been supplied as part of a Freedom of Information request on the same subject matter. This response is available to view on our website via the following link: %2014.pdf Therefore, this is exempt from disclosure under S21 of the Act: Information available by other means. This letter constitutes a refusal notice under Section 17 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 with Section 21(1) of the act being applied. 21. (1) Information which is reasonably accessible to the applicant otherwise than under section 1 is exempt information. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1) a) information may be reasonably accessible to the applicant even though it is accessible only on payment, and b) information is to be taken to be reasonably accessible to the applicant if it is information which the public authority or any other person is obliged by or under any enactment to communicate (otherwise than by making the information available for inspection) to members of the public on request, whether free of charge or on payment. (3) For the purposes of subsection (1), information which is held by a public authority and does not fall within subsection (2) b) is not to be regarded as reasonably accessible to the applicant merely because the information is available from the public authority itself on request, unless the information is made available in accordance with the authority s publication scheme and any payment required is specified in, or determined in accordance with, the scheme.
3 This information is available up until the end of November I am advised that to update this information would involve manually checking each Officers record and cross referencing this with payroll information which would potentially take this request over the cost threshold of 18 working hours.
