4 Page 4 of SUMMARY Cooling capacity and energy consumption tests were conducted in the Balanced Ambient Room-type Calorimeter at Vipac s Port Melbourne laboratory in general accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS :2005 & AS/NZS on an Optical, model ACC-25V2, Reverse Cycle, High Wall Mounted, Non-Ducted, Single Split System Air Conditioner. 2. INTRODUCTION Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd was commissioned by ABC Four Corners to carry out energy efficiency testing in accordance with AS3823.2:2005 Energy labelling and minimum energy performance standard requirements on an Optical, model Acc-25V2, Reverse Cycle, High Wall Mounted, Non-Ducted, Fixed speed R22, Single Split System Air Conditioner. 5. METHOD The air conditioner was installed in the Balanced Ambient-type Calorimeter in accordance with the instructions enclosed with the unit. Specifications for the Vipac Calorimeter System are provided in Appendix A. Cooling Capacity Test to T1 conditions (moderate climate) was conducted as per AS/NZS :1998, Part 1.1 : Non-ducted air-conditioners and heat pumps Testing and rating for performance, using test method Clause 6.1 (g) Calorimeter. A maximum Cooling Test to T1 conditions was carried out for Energy labelling purposes. Test histories for performance cooling test along with test results are shown in the following section.
