1 REDFIELD CAMPUS ROOM RESERVATIONS Requests to use the Redfield Campus may be made by contacting Carol Maiellaro at (775) or Jodi Herzik at (775) Reservations made by telephone are considered tentative until a written request has been received and approved. Any group desiring to use the Redfield Campus Bldg. A, shall submit a completed reservation form to the Redfield Campus Bldg. A Wedge Parkway, Reno, Nevada attn: Carol Maiellaro or fax to (775) Versatile Meeting Rooms The Nell J. Redfield Building at the Redfield Campus has a total of 14 carpeted meeting rooms, 10 of which have large windows for natural light and can accommodate groups of 10 to 35. Rooms can be equipped to meet your individual needs with whiteboards, easels and pads, and a full range of audio/visual and computer equipment. All of our rooms have internet access and the entire building is equipped to provide wireless internet access. Most rooms can be configured in a variety of styles to accommodate your meeting and training needs. Diagrams of room configurations most often requested are shown below. 2 RATES: The Redfield Campus offers affordable and versatile rates with half-day, full day, evening and weekend rates. Discount rates are available to University of Nevada, Reno affiliated and large volume clients. Audio Visual Equipment Available: **Additional software for instructional purposes must be provided by the user and delivered to Redfield Campus Computer Administrator two weeks prior to the scheduled meeting date.
3 REFUNDS Full rental charges will be incurred unless cancellation is received in writing at least fourteen days in advance of the date reserved. Exceptions must be approved by the Vice Provost for Extended Studies. OCCUPANCY Maximum occupancy for the Redfield Campus rooms must be adhered to. Please see rate chart for more information. PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION Program participants may park in the Redfield Campus parking lot free of charge. Please ask your participants not to park in red zones. Redfield Campus is fully accessible to the mobility impaired CATERING Arrangements for catering are the responsibility of the party reserving the facility. You may use the caterer of you choice, but please enlist their assistance in ensuring that all food and other materials will be removed at the close of your program. The service kitchen is not designated for on-site preparation of food. Food and drink are not allowed in Computer areas or Distance Education Room. OTHER SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS Arrangements for audiovisual equipment and other special needs are the responsibility of the party reserving the facility. The following equipment is included in your rental fee: DVD player, VCR, CD player, Podium, overhead projector, projection screen, easels (if requested), white boards, high speed internet access and wireless internet access. Equipment operator is not included. Additional equipment is available; please see the reservation form for more information. A copy machine is available, copies are $.25 each. DISPLAY MATERIALS If you need to hang or otherwise display instructional materials in a meeting room, please discuss appropriate display methods with staff prior to your meeting. We can help find the best way to display your materials. Glue and other adhesive products may not be used on classroom surfaces. FURNITURE Please make sure that any furniture moved during the course of the event is returned to its original position. TRASH Please bag your trash in the trash receptacles located in your room. Additional trash bags are provided in the kitchen. FIRE ALARMS Should the fire alarm be activated accidentally, notify the University of Nevada, Reno Facilities Services at (775) In the event of an actual emergency dial 911. DELIVERIES Please notify staff if you need items delivered to the Redfield Campus in advance of your program. Please note that rental charges begin when the building is unlocked, and end when the last person leaves the Redfield Campus. Access to the facility is limited to the hours of 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM for daytime rentals, and 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM for evening rentals on the day of your rental only. Additional set up or break down beyond those time limitations may require additional charges. LIABILITY The Redfield Campus cannot assume responsibility for personal property and equipment. Liability for damage to the premises shall be the sole responsibility of the group renting the facility and will be charged accordingly. ANIMALS Animals are not permitted in university buildings, with the exception of seeing-eye dogs.
4 SMOKING Smoking is prohibited in all areas within the building. The outdoor patio area has been equipped with ashtrays. ALCOHOL Alcohol is not permitted on the Redfield Campus grounds without Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) consent. AFTER YOUR EVENT After your program ends, we ask your assistance in removing all equipment and materials that do not belong to the Redfield Campus. If you need to delay removal of your materials, please inform staff. Additional charges may be required. OTHER POLICIES Users of the Redfield Campus must agree to abide by University of Nevada, Reno policies relating to matters of safety, liability, non-discrimination, non-disturbance, civil disobedience, use of University grounds and other relevant University policies. REDFIELD CAMPUS CLASSROOMS / MEETING ROOMS: All rooms are equipped with smart lecterns to provide the latest technological presentation aides. Rooms are equipped with the following: o Dell PC Pentium 4 / 3.6 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM 17 monitor Microsoft XP Pro Professional Microsoft Office 2003 CDRW/DVD Player Wireless internet connectivity o Epson Powerlite 7900 Overhead Projector o The ability to play DVD/VHS media o Great sound system o USB Ports on podium o High-speed internet connection o Ability to hookup laptops to the podium. A complimentary training session is included for first time Redfield Campus smart classroom users and on-site technical assistance is available when a smart lectern is being used. REDFIELD CAMPUS DISTANCE EDUCATION ROOM: Our distance education room has been uniquely designed to support the equipment, tools, and connections needed to originate and/or receive events delivered via distance education technologies (videoconferences). Presenters may use the control room to adjust the room's cameras to best deliver presentations. The presenter in the room also has a large plasma TV for viewing remote locations that further promotes great communication. Participants can be given access to wired or wireless connections from their own laptops (As long as you have a valid UNR Net ID). The room has fixed seating for a maximum 60 participants. Although designed to be used in the delivery of distance education, these rooms may also be used for standard classroom type events. The room has excellent acoustics which creates an open and friendly environment where participants and presenters can easily communicate and exchange ideas. Rear screen projectors provide a large and small display that can be seen clearly from any seat in the room. REDFIELD CAMPUS VIDEO CONFERENCE ROOM: The Redfield Campus Video Conference Room accommodates up to 15 participants in a high-tech executive setting. The room features: o Wireless equipment controls o Two large plasma display screens o DVD, VCR and computer presentation equipment o Tabletop power and display connections for laptops o Wireless internet connectivity o Executive meeting table and leather chairs o Fully carpeted room with sound proof walls.
