2 DATA PROTECTION OFFICER PROGRAMME The biggest European-wide reform of data protection and privacy laws will be implemented from January 2016 and senior managers must address the impact for their organisation. The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force in early 2016 and organisations have up to two years to implement the changes. Developed in partnership with GO DPO EU Compliance, this programme will prepare you to take the necessary steps to ensure business continuity and protect reputation. In order to achieve the DPO Certificate of Completion participants will need to pass six module tests as they work through the online phase of the programme. Andrew has consulted and lectured in the UK, Europe, USA, SE Asia, China, Japan, Russia, Georgia, the Gulf States, India and Australia. He was also Vice Chancellor of the International Academy of Management and has been Chairman of the Division of Occupational Psychology, British Psychological Society, Andrew undertook a major world study of boardroom effectiveness and governance practice, resulting in his most recent book The Success Formula. His current areas of interest focus on improving the performance of top executives, top executive teams and boards, excellence in consultancy practice, leadership, corporate governance, conflict resolution and international relations. Founder and Director of GO DPO EU Compliance, Ardi is co-author of Data Protection and Privacy and The Data Protection Officer s Handbook, published by Kogan Page. He is also editor of the Journal of Data Protection and Privacy published by Henry Stewart Publications. Ardi worked as a reporter/producer for the BBC before moving to senior roles in corporate communications management for Accenture, Brit Insurance and Genworth Financial. As Director of Marketing and Communications for the Defence Academy of the UK/Cranfield University he worked with Professor Brian Collins in cyber security research and was responsible for launching the National Resilience Centre. A Fellow of several institutes and with over a decade of executive education and management training experience, Ardi has also been an advisor on corporate communications to the Cabinet Office, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and many other organisations. He has a first degree in law from Kingston University and an LL.M from King s College London.
