LEADERSHIP AND EXECUTIVE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT ADRg Ambassadors LLP 180 Fleet Street, London EC4A 2HG
ADRg Ambassadors is a unique partnership of former Ambassadors (ten British founding partners with a growing network of international associates) offering businesses their operational insight and senior personal experience. In our two years of operation we have developed a successful training programme, drawing on partners training and coaching experience in the public sector which we now bring to the private sector. Based on the principles of corporate diplomacy our courses and workshops demonstrate how the best diplomatic techniques can be applied in different international corporate contexts, and develop skills for communicating and negotiating with people from different nationalities, backgrounds, identities and interests. We bring to training and coaching an unrivalled combination of international negotiating wisdom, cultural sensitivity and senior personal experience. All programmes are tailored to the particular professional challenges faced by participants. For particular projects we draw on our network of other accomplished training professionals to deliver bespoke programmes for clients.
We offer group training and individual coaching in the following areas: Negotiation The world of senior diplomacy offers many practical real-life examples of how to negotiate well and how to fail spectacularly. Focusing on the mechanics and psychology of negotiation, we draw on real life experiences to cast a new light on negotiation theory and help refine skills in subtle persuasion and influence. Relevant for anyone involved in negotiations in an international business setting, whether formally or informally. Mediation Skills and Problem-Solving These courses are an essential tool for anyone dealing with sensitive issues or solving problems internally or with third parties. From introductory courses focusing on developing basic mediation skills to help course participants in their day to day handling of sensitive issues, through to advanced courses looking at the significant people-handling skills needed to conduct informal short mediations to help settle significant disagreements and to cope confidently in difficult situations. In partnership with ADR Group we also offer full mediation accreditation (5 day course) for those wanting to undertake a sustained conflict resolution role within the organisation and/or in operational situations. Crisis Management Our Ambassadors draw on first-hand experience in senior leadership roles where they have handled crises in many different countries. They have acquired sophisticated techniques for preparing effectively and demonstrating leadership during a crisis. Our intensive workshops which simulate real-life crises (within the safety of a classroom) can address best practice in: preparing for things that can go wrong expected and unexpected crises; building a support network; internal and external communications; defining strategy and making decisions against a confused and hectic backdrop; and withstanding external pressures. Communication By developing subtle diplomatic skills participants learn how to improve interpersonal communication, build and manage relationships, have more influence in meetings, bridge differences and develop techniques for motivating colleagues.
Public Speaking Applying diplomatic methodology to public speaking/advocacy and using practical techniques for frank self-observation, we help public facing representatives of a business to speak more confidently, get across key messages, know their audience, show leadership and speak with impact. Written Presentation This can cover high level drafting, report writing, speech writing and writing for top people (briefs and speaking notes, records of meetings, press releases). Speechwriting and Speechmaking We draw on senior political speechwriting experience to refine skills for the development, drafting and delivery of a high quality speech. Reputation Management and Media Skills Extensive experience dealing with media on serious international issues has provided unique insights on how to manage journalists, achieve the right type of media coverage and avoid mistakes. One-on-One Executive Coaching ADRg Ambassadors broad experience on a wide range of international issues makes us particularly well suited to coaching senior personnel in the private sector. We understand today s imperatives: doing more with less; stress management; perpetual change and development; and the need for top quality vision and leadership.
In the past 3 years we have delivered bespoke training programmes and coaching for: Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) European Commission DG RELEX International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) International Labour Organization (ILO) International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Liechtenstein Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malta Ministry of Foreign Affairs Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Poland Ministry of Foreign Affairs Swiss private bank United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) In addition our Ambassadors frequently deliver lectures and interactive learning workshops in diplomatic academies, universities, training institutions and through private training providers around the world. We are registered United Nations Vendors and provide training to a range of UN agencies.
Testimonials worked with us on negotiation skills training for some of our clients in the Middle East able to work seamlessly with both private and public sector participants, ensuring that people were fully engaged from beginning to end. CEO, International School of Communication, June 2012 The course was very successful and made a significant addition to IAEA inspectors knowledge and experience. The course was particularly noteworthy because it was able to engage senior inspectors and stimulate their interest. Acting Director, Department of Safeguards, International Atomic Energy Agency, April 2012 One of the best courses I have received Course participant from the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons, February 2012 The workshop has had such a positive impact; people are still talking about it Head of Administrative Services, International Telecommunication Union May 2011
