3 INTRODUCTION Today s enterprise application landscape has become more complex and heterogeneous, where your SAP ERP system is integrated to dozens of applications, both on premise and/or cloud based. As a result, any changes to the ERP system may have a ripple impact on some of these satellite applications as well, meaning that an SAP application manager will need to identify not only what will break, what needs to be fixed and what needs to be tested in their core ERP system, but equally in any satellite application consuming services from the core ERP system. The challenge in keeping track of which applications interface to your ERP system, and especially which interfaces and applications will be impacted becomes more complex. As a result, it is important to know both the interfaces that will break during an ERP change, as well as which interfaces are being used and how often. Panaya s Satellite Impact Analysis automatically maps all of your ERP satellite applications and interfaces enabling you to mitigate risk and ensure control across the application landscape and throughout the lifecycle. The software allows you to: Gain ongoing visibility of your entire application landscape. A 360-degree map of all satellite applications interfacing with your ERP system, including: SAP and non-sap systems On-premise or cloud Ensure a smooth go-live. Identify which interfaces with which satellite systems will break, how to fix them, and what to test before every ERP change Enhance IT collaboration. 4 HOW DOES IT WORK After logging in to Panaya, the Satellite Overview tab will give you access to the satellite applications that interface with your ERP. A new tab will be automatically opened, highlighting (in red) the applications that are impacted (this is the default setting, but can be turned off). The landscape map is comprised of different aspects: DE2 This is the name of your SAP ERP system Integration Level This is based on the number of interfaces each satellite application has to the ERP (calculated dynamically). The top tier includes the 7 applications that have the most number of interfaces (in this example, more than 38). The middle tier includes the next 14 applications, and the bottom tier the final 14 applications. Application Application Name and Type On premise SAP system (or not) Number of Interfaces

5 If there are a number of applications grouped together this means that there are several applications that were identified as similar based on their interface patterns, e.g. 2 servers for the Portal used for load balancing. The drop-down list from within the Application window provides a preview of the top 7 interfaces. Selecting the Full Details link will provide the entire list. The Interfaces can be sorted and filtered according to your preferences. When an Interface has a corresponding task in Panaya, this can be selected and the Task details page will be presented.

6 FILTERING THE LANDSCAPE In order to view the satellite landscape in various formats, there are different filters that can be used to present the applications according to your need. Graphical or Table view Group by Integration Level (number of interfaces), or by Impact Level (number of impacted objects per application) Show Impacted Systems, Non-impacted systems, SAP systems, Non-SAP systems Show Systems based on their Usage Dynamic search tool for application attributes Show Impacted applications or not For more information about this feature or any other Panaya product, please contact
