1 CASPA Accepting your Casual Offer of Employment Online This QRG demonstrates how a casual staff member will accept their contract online. Once your contract has been fully approved, you will be sent an with a link to enable you to accept your contract and provide the necessary information. It is important for you to accept your offer of employment prior to the commencement date of your contract. If the contract is not accepted after 7 days from when it is sent to the casual, the Contract Coordinator will receive an and a task to resubmit it. If the address was incorrect, the Contract Coordinator can then amend it also after receiving the and task. The contract will be ed to you but will appear to have come from the system address of donotreply@adelaide.edu.au. Many systems will treat this as spam and automatically delete the message. Instructions on how to allow this as a Safe Sender can be found: You will need the following details to complete this process. The sender will display as: donotreply@adelaide.edu.au Note: Some systems will treat a system generated as junk and delete it. 3 5. You must confirm the existing information and update or provide details as necessary in the following sections. Home Address Mailing Address (if different from Home Address) Emergency Contact Details 6. Scroll down to the Financial Institution Details section. The Financial Institution Details section is displayed. 7. If you have previously worked at the university you may choose an account from the Select Existing Account drop down. 4 8. If you have not worked for the university or wish to input new bank details, enter the information in the following fields: As you type the bank name, an auto-suggest drop down box will appear. You can then select the Bank Name from the drop down. The auto-suggest will also appear when entering your BSB. Important points when entering bank details: If you are entering details for a Credit Union and cannot find your Bank Name, you should use CRU as the Bank Name. Enter the BSB without spaces or dashes. Always select the option in the drop down for Bank Name and BSB in order for the details to populate correctly. 9. Scroll down to the Tax Details section. If you need to enter or update your tax details, click the Update TFN button. Ensure you have your tax file number handy if you need to update your information as you will not be able to proceed without entering your TFN (unless you indicate that are awaiting a TFN from the ATO). Otherwise proceed directly to 12 without clicking the Update TFN button. 10. The Tax Details section is displayed. 11. Enter your Tax File Number and select Yes or No for each of the options. If you are unsure on your answers to any of these questions, you can contact the Australian Tax Office by visiting Authorised by Associate Director, Client Services Review Date: 16 March 2018 Page 4 of 5
5 12. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Carefully read the conditions of your employment and if you agree then click the Accept button. If you need further information or believe the contract is incorrect, then click the Request further information button. This will send an automatic message to your Contract Coordinator who will contact you. If you Decline this offer, the Contract Coordinator will be notified and the request will be terminated. 13. If you accepted the contract, a message confirming that the contract has been ed is displayed 14. Click the OK button. 15. The Unified portal Welcome page is displayed.
