2 RSM Club of Spain The RSM Club of Spain (Hereinafter The Club) is an international community of RSM alumni that are settled in Spain. Alumni are mainly from the full time international MBA. A smaller part of the Club members are from other programs such as Executive MBA, Global Executive onemba, Master in Financial Management, Master of Science and Bachelors of Science. The main purposes of the chapter are to: Enhance the alumni network within Spain Promote networking events with both RSM alumni as well as other MBA professionals living and working in Spain Organize conferences and seminars with top leaders and thinkers Organize informal and sports activities to strength and maintain the Alumni network Support the RSM (Hereinafter, The School) and increase its brand awareness and visibility in Spain Promote a strong and constructive relationship between the RSM Spanish Alumni community and the RSM The Club organizes formal and informal events, many with important RSM researchers, CEOs, entrepreneurs, politicians, and industry leaders. The Club also collaborates with the school by participating in business school fairs and recruitment events. The Club members are constantly looking for new ways/ideas to add value to our Alumni community and to the RSM brand. Since October 2012, the RSM Club of Spain belongs to the Ryder Club of Spain (ryder-clubespana-ryder-club-spain-rce/). The Ryder Club is an association/club of Alumni Associations and Clubs from top ranked International business schools. The Ryder club membership allows to share experiences and knowledge, improves the quality of events and/or acquires critical mass for their activities.

3 List of activities/events organized - 28 th October 2012: Workshop Leadership during the financial crisis given by professor Bill Collins. One of the main challenges of leadership during turbulent times (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, unexpected fierce competition, financial crisis, etc.) is to succeed at two levels simultaneously: surviving in the short-term and creating the healthiest organization possible in the long-term. In leadership theory, this translates into the ability for leaders to be able to tackle the short-term, using effective transactional leadership to create incremental improvements, while at the same time, maintaining or creating a healthy and vibrant organization that will flourish following the recovery, by means of transformational leadership. The workshop was highly participative and focused on the Spanish context. Approximately 40 people attended the workshop th June 2013: e-entrepreneurs conference with François Derbaix (toprural.com founder, co-founder from rentalia.com and start-ups business angel) and Fernando Encinar (co-founder from idealista.com, com and start-ups business angel). These two top entrepreneurs shared with the audience their experiences and vision about the opportunity of the Internet revolution in the Spanish market. They shared some of their experiences with multiple successful startups. The event was jointly organized with UCLA Anderson School of Management and approximately 50 people attended this conference th November 2013: Conference on today s Macroeconomic challenges and its impact on Spain and the Leading International Business Schools presented by Mr. Cornelis Van Rij, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Spain, and by Steef Van Der Velde, Dean of Rotterdam School of Management. Both speakers shared their vision in relation to current challenges of the Spanish economy and also how business schools, particularly RSM, are adapting to this new business environment. Approx 30 people attended this event th November 2014: The RSM Club of Spain organized a dynamic seminar for presidents and delegates of other top alumni clubs (Columbia University, London Business School, HEC Paris, Emory University, etc.) about challenges in the European Union. The dinner included the Dutch Ambassador in Spain, Cornelis van Rij, and the head of economics department, Patricia Van Bentum. Approx 30 people attended this event th January 2015: Launch of Local Chapter Barcelona. To celebrate the kick-off of the Alumni Chapter in Barcelona, Chapter Leaders organized a lecture given by RSM Dean Steef van de Velde who spoke about sales forecasting of limited edition products. Participants included RSM alumni and alumni from other business schools within Ryder Club of Spain. Approximately 15 people attended this event th April 2015: Alumni dinner in Madrid accompanied by Joep Elemans, Director Careers, Corporate and Alumni Relations. Other activities in which the RSM Club of Spain has participated during 2013 are the following:

4 - MBA Fair: Thursday, 17 October: Joined the RSM MBA Marketing & Admissions team, represented by Tinka Broeders, at the Madrid MBA Fair. - Dutch Business Club association: At the beginning of 2013, The Club partnered with the Dutch Business Club in Spain. As part of this association, Dutch Business club members are attending the RSM events and vice-versa. This agreement is helping us to increase our network within the Dutch business community residing in Spain. - Dutch Embassy: During 2013, The Club developed a close relationship with the Dutch Embassy in Spain. Our main contact is with the Dutch Economic Affairs Section with whom The Club is exploring ways of collaboration. - Ryder Club of Spain: The Club has invited the members from the Ryder Club of Spain to all of its events. At the same time, The Club has benefited from the events organized by the other Schools Associations, members of the Ryder Club. With no doubt, this has been a very valuable exchange. RSM Club members have had the chance to attend very interesting conferences with top speakers from the political, economical, research, corporative and entrepreneurial world. These events have also allowed RSM Club members to increase their professional network. - Exchange program with ICADE: The Club, thanks to its strong network in Spain, has enabled the contact between The School and the Dean of ICADE business school to establish an exchange program mainly targeted to MSc. Students.

5 Year 2015 Activities Plan Main events planned by the RSM Club of Spain in 2015: - The Club and Kellogg alumni Club of Spain are organizing an alumni lunch with the CEO of ING Spain and Portugal. The event will probably take place in October/November 2015 and there will be limited seating to 20 people. - The Club is planning to organize an informal dinner with to welcome MBA16 candidates. Other activities/initiatives in which The Club will be involved during 2015 are the following: - The Club has requested Alumni Relations to give an annual award to the best club/chapter of the year. The award will increase engagement and motivation among alumni clubs. - The Club will approach Internations (The leading network & guide for expats in 390 cities worldwide) to organize potential venues together. - The Club is seeking to reach an agreement with EAE, an important business school in Barcelona, to use EAE s facilities for our events in Barcelona. - Ryder Club: Participate in the Ryder Club of Spain events and sessions.
