1 Follow the instructions below to install BMCASE on a Single computer After you have downloaded the Installation program BMSDEMO.exe from the internet to a USB or a Folder on your computer go to the computer that you wish to install the software and run BMSDEMO.exe. Make sure no other applications are running. NOTE: You must have Administrator rights to install the software. Right click BMDEMO.exe and select Run as Administrator from the drop down menu Client Computer Software License Install 1) Run the install program BMSDEMO.exe 2) Click on INSTALL PRODUCTS

2 3) Depending on the Windows OS that is installed on the computer choose either INSTALL ON WINDOWS XP or INSTALL ON WINDOWS VISTA / WIN 7 NOTE: if you get any errors while installing on a Vista or WIN7 computer just ignore and allow the install to continue. (Vista and Win7 is noted for unrelated software registration problems with files such as Shdocvw.dll, dao2535.tlb, and DAO350.DLL 5) Click on OK 6) Click on the ICON Button to start the install

4 Register License: Sign On And Register Licenses: From the Program Menu click on BMCASE Case Management and BMCASE Case Management NOTE: The first time you run BMVASE on Vista and Win7 computers you may receive an error message such as ERROR: 429 Active X failed to create an object How to solve this: 1) From the program menu select Accessories, Run 2) Type or copy / paste regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao350.dll" Into the box and click OK

7 Set-up Users that will be using the software: As Security Officer you can set-up users and other options from the Administration and Dictionary menus Click the Administration Tab and then Open Dictionary

8 USER ID And PASSWORD setup: Click on USERS User ID, Password and Authority Add each User that will be using the software with a User ID and Password Example: User ID: TSMITH password TSMITH (the user can change their password later) Click SAVE and then AUTHORITY

9 Select all options the user is authorized to use from those displayed and click SAVE IE: if a user will not be authorized to use DAANES then do not select that option

10 NOTE: You should assign yourself a USER ID and Password that will be used to access the software and only use the Security Officer User ID when you wish to access the Dictionary options. The Security Officer PW is used in certain areas in the software to unlock objects also.
