2 INSTITUTE FOR GLOBAL INITIATIVES MAKING INTERNATIONALIZATION MATTER KENNESAW STATE UNIVERSITY STRATEGIC PLAN FOR INTERNATIONALIZATION Internatinal Visin Statement Kennesaw State University will be an internatinally prminent leader in innvative glbal engagement. Internatinal Missin Statement Kennesaw State University is cmmitted t develping internatinal, intercultural, and interdisciplinary cmpetencies. The university sustains these cmpetencies thrugh innvative curriculum, partnerships, research, creative activity, and cmmunity engagement. Preamble t the Strategic Plan The Strategic Plan fr Internatinalizatin was develped by the Faculty Cmmittee fr Glbal Engagement t priritize selective investment in high-impact areas f internatinalizatin. This plan is intended t fcus internatinalizatin activity at Kennesaw State University by prmting deliberate and strategic decisin-making amng all institutinal stakehlders. It prvides a set f thematic gals and measurable bjectives fr advancing the internatinal visin and missin f Kennesaw State University via dcumented utcmes and benchmarks. The Strategic Plan fr Internatinalizatin is intended t guide internatinalizatin activity fr the entire Kennesaw State University cmmunity and therefre builds directly upn the brader gals and bjectives f the Kennesaw State University Strategic Plan. While the Institute fr Glbal Initiatives plays an imprtant leadership rle in implementing the Strategic Plan fr Internatinalizatin, it als supprts and shares this leadership rle fr internatinalizatin with the academic clleges, departments and related internatinal ffices at Kennesaw State University. The Strategic Plan fr Internatinalizatin is intended t guide internatinal initiatives abrad, but it is als intended t increase lcal pprtunities fr glbal engagement n the Kennesaw State University campus and thrughut the State f Gergia. Indeed, the plan cnceives f internatinalizatin and multiculturalism as tw sides f the same cin and aims t prmte these perspectives thrugh bth lcal and glbal pprtunities fr teaching, learning, schlarship and service.
