3 Defries Industries Founded in 1981 by the Defries family, Defries Industries is a leader in Australia for medical product design, development and supply and is a 100% Australian owned Medical Company. Through commitment, Defries Industries has grown steadily to now supply a diverse range of over 3000 products that are designed and manufactured locally in Melbourne, Australia. In conjunction to our manufacturing arm, we also distribute medical and surgical products throughout Australia and New Zealand, from a variety of companies based around the world. As a world class designer and manufacturer our vision has remained clear. We are committed to better patient care by offering safe and effective sterile medical products and custom procedure packs to health care professionals. Quality Assurance Team Patient safety is the core focus at Defries Industries. Our Quality Assurance (QA) Team is an integral part of our company. The QA team is composed of highly-skilled and competent professionals, with expertise in the field of: EO Sterilisation Regulatory Affairs Quality Management systems A key role is to deliver products that are superior in safety, quality and efficacy by ensuring compliance with approved specifications and relevant Industry Standards. The QA team oversees the technical involvement with the Therapeutic Goods Administration and achieves compliance to all relevant regulations.

4 Our Facility Today, Defries Industries employ over 160 staff Australia wide, with warehousing or distributors now throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our team of professionals provide outstanding services and are experienced in communicating healthcare options to our customers to meet their requirements. Our business has steadily grown throughout the past 33 years and we are dedicated to our customers and suppliers. We now supply to over 700 different hospitals throughout Australia and New Zealand, and for home patients, products are available on our website online shop. We offer local knowledge and because our manufacturing is based in Australia, we can quickly be proactive to medical product design and turnover. 5 Quality Products Defries Industries are specialist manufacturers. We design single use, sterile medical devices and all our processes comply according to our Quality Management System. We supply locally manufactured consumables and are one of Australia s leading providers of specialist custom procedure packs. Specialist Manufacturers Our Clean Rooms provide a controlled, contaminant free environment and are certified as Class ISO 8 in accordance with ISO international cleanroom standard. Safety Since Defries Industries started, we have been using Steritech for our sterilization of our medical products. The use of ethylene oxide (EtO) gas for the sterilization of medical products is reliable and effective against a broad spectrum of pathogens and is safe for health practitioners and patients. Steritech EtO process is validated according to the ISO Sterilization of healthcare products. Warehouse Management Most of our single use consumables are processed on our thermoforming packaging machine, which meet the special requirements of medical packaging. Alternatively, our Custom Procedure Packs manufacturing process is labour intensive, requiring assembly by hand and packed into Sterilisation pouches. Defries products are manufactured under ISO Medical devices - Quality Management system Requirements for regulatory purposes. We run a very efficient and methodical manufacturing process, and currently make up to around 30 million consumables and custom packs per annum. Our Warehouse Management team is committed to storing and transporting medical products under ideal conditions. Our warehouses comply with all codes for the storage of sterile devices and our medical goods are delivered by trained staff. We can also offer a Vendor Management Inventory service for custom procedure packs and large volume consumables. Product Portfolio Defries Industies distribute medical products from a variety of international companies. We carefully select a portfolio of products ideally suited to our local conditions and hospitals. We are continually evaluating additional companies and sourcing samples to be trialled and assessed.
