10 Sandwich Chefs Support Sandwich Chefs sites and design and fit out Sandwich Chefs helps select, negotiate and secure a lease for your store site. Sandwich Chefs will design and help manage the fit out and the equipping of each store to meet Sandwich Chefs standards. Sandwich Chefs will help you manage your contractor s fit out. Training Sandwich Chefs will provide full training to its Franchisees covering all aspects of our Sandwich Chefs system, as well as assisting in the opening and running of the store. Products and Suppliers The Franchisee is required to merchandise only those products and services which have been approved by Sandwich Chefs. In terms of supply, we have key specified suppliers which Franchisees are required to use. We also have preferred and local suppliers which we help Franchisees source and purchase product.

11 Frequently Asked Questions Are there standard procedures that I am required to follow? Are there Trademarks and Intellectual Property? Yes, however the procedures are simple. Sandwich Chefs have designed procedures carefully to make sure your Franchise business operates as efficiently as possible. The Franchisee is granted, under the Franchise Agreement, a Licence to use the intellectual property during the term of and on the terms set out in the operations manual. The procedures cover matters such as reporting, insurance, accounting practices, purchasing, hiring and training new staff, cost control, merchandising, advertising and other essential functions. What are the ongoing costs of being a Sandwich Chefs Franchisee? Franchisees are responsible for all the expenses relating to their store including an occupancy Licence fee (equal to the rental and other outgoings and expenses). The Franchisee will also be required to pay an ongoing royalty fee of 9% of nett sales to Sandwich Chefs.

12 Frequently Asked Questions When do I pay the royalty fee? You will be required to pay the royalty fee weekly. What if I decide to sell my business? You can sell your store to a buyer who meets the Sandwich Chefs criteria. They will need to enter into the current standard Franchise Agreement at the time of sale and agree to comply with all required procedures. A transfer fee must be paid to Sandwich Chefs. Is investing in a Franchise risk free? Statistics indicate that the risk involved participating in any Franchise should in general, be significantly less than the risk involved in proceeding with purchasing a business on your own. However, in all retail business, risk exists and we cannot guarantee the turnover of a particular store or its profitability.

We recommend that each Franchise obtain competent legal advice before entering into the Franchise documentations to ensure that its Franchisees fully understand their obligations. In addition, it is prudent for Franchisees to obtain financial advice. What documentation is there? If you wish to go ahead in joining us, there will be further documentation and legal agreements to review and authorise. The Franchise documentation will clearly set out the obligations of the parties and is necessary to protect the integrity of the Sandwich Chefs system for the mutual Got more qu estion s?
