Introduction PRIO Communications and Consulting (Pty) Ltd is a Communications and Management Consultancy formed in response to the need in the marketplace for a service provider that recognises the need for, and facilitates, alignment between internal and external stakeholder relations and communication, as a strategic priority for organisational success. To achieve and sustain competitive levels of performance in the knowledge economy, organisations need to regard their employees as critical stakeholders as they do their customers, investors, partners and suppliers. Organisations relations and communication with both internal and external stakeholders needs to be geared towards building a corporate reputation and culture that is espoused by both groups alike. PRIO assists organisations to formulate and implement strategies and approaches that facilitate effective stakeholder engagement and relationship building, towards service excellence, customer satisfaction, and overall organisational success. Through thorough and comprehensive methodologies, PRIO ensures that all interventions are well and appropriately informed and aligned to the vision and strategic intent of the client organisation. 2. Our Value Proposition PRIO Communications & Consulting s Value Proposition to clients is illustrated in figure 1 below: Figure 1 PRIO Communications & Consulting assists organisations to move from understanding of mandate, vision and objectives, to service excellence and sustainable competitiveness, through facilitated organisational development and stakeholder relations interventions. 6 We work with clients to identify strategic priorities in their People Management, Leadership and Corporate Communication practices and approaches, towards improved Performance, effective Stakeholder Relations, and a positive Organisational Brand Reputation. PRIO is collaborative and results-driven in its approach, ensuring that clients are able to see the impact of our interventions when and where it matters most. We partner with clients in the development of strategies, providing candid and informed views and opinions, challenging clients when and where it is needed, while also remaining open to challenge. Through our work and recommendations, clients are able to identify growth and innovation opportunities, and competencies and capabilities that need further development. 4. Our Services and Approach PRIO Communications & Consulting views client organisations from two, related perspectives: (1) the internal environment of the organisation, and (2) the external environment in which it operates. We believe that what happens in an organisation in terms of strategic thinking and leadership, management approaches, staff attitudes and behaviours, has a direct and significant impact on how the organisation behaves externally, and how it is therefore regarded in the marketplace. We facilitate organisational change and performance improvement through interventions aimed at helping clients to achieve internal strategic and operational alignment, and effective external engagement and positioning. By staying abreast of current trends and research, we ensure that our work is well-informed and well suited to addressing our clients challenges and priorities. Page6

7 PRIO s consulting services are summarised in figure 2 below: Figure 2 PRIO s client service approach incorporates a Needs Clarification phase to ensure that we have a clear understanding of specific needs and requirements before we proceed with the work required. We also insist on the development of a clear and sound Change Management strategy before commencement of a project. We maintain close interface with client throughout a project, providing regular feedback and obtaining critical, relevant inputs from client through on-going probing and confirmation. Page7

8 In addition to the consulting services illustrated in figure 2 above, PRIO also facilitates related training services in the form of interactive workshops, as well as accredited courses through its network of reputable training service providers, in the following areas: People management and leadership Strategic planning and management Performance planning and management Stakeholder relations and reputation management Customer orientation and customer service Presentations and public speaking Note: All training workshops and courses are customised to suit client needs. 5. Our Expertise The Directors of PRIO Communications & Consulting have a combined 30 years of experience in the Organisational Development, Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Relations fields. Ms Sharon Shakung Director: Organisational Development Sharon has more than 15 years experience in the field of management consulting, specialising in Organisational Development. Her focus areas include the facilitation of planned change interventions and processes, such as strategic planning, organisational (re)positioning, review and (re)alignment, as well as operational reorganisation. Sharon s focus extends to employee performance planning and performance management. Her other areas of interest and expertise include management development, personal development, and team dynamics. Sharon is passionate about organisational behavioural issues, such as leadership, corporate values and culture, and people management practices. She is an excellent consultant and facilitator, able to engage effectively at all levels in an organisation. She also has experience in the design and Page8

9 management of qualitative and quantitative employee and stakeholder research surveys. Sharon s personal attributes include attention to detail, critical and analytical thinking and working with diverse groups of people. Ms Sari Tolmay Director: Corporate Communications Sari has international experience in Corporate Communications management, including publications, media relations, and social media. Her focus also includes stakeholder relations, managing corporate events, and arranging and hosting VIP delegation visits, meetings and conferences. Sari also enjoys undertaking research for projects in communications, from concept to product. Sari has specialist skills in writing and editing press releases, editorials, articles, brochures, reports, profiles, proposals and presentations. Her areas of expertise also include the development of communications strategies and plans across media, and her work extends to the creative aspects of electronic and print communication. Some of Sari s personal attributes include problem-solving, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. 6. Our Network of Specialists Our own expertise and network of equally capable specialist consultants, as well as our small and flat structure, means that clients work with a team of hands-on, high calibre professionals, who are keen and equipped to advance your business goals. Our network relationships include local and international consultants in the fields of Corporate Communications, Stakeholder Relations, Reputation Management, Organisational Development, Human Resource Management, Executive Coaching, and Management Consulting.
