3 In the year of 1998 Mr. Hannes Auer founded the 3CON GmbH in Oberaudorf/Germany. The company produces innovative tooling and equipment technologies for manufacturing of automotive interiors, such as door panels, instrument panels, consoles and pillars. The first extension of 3CON GmbH was the construction of the plant in Ebbs/Austria in the year Originally it was planned as a production site; today it is the headquarter of the group. It includes the areas of project planning, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning. Furthermore, the departments for prototyping,research and development are also located in Ebbs. In 2012, the groundbreaking ceremony for a new milestone in the company history was made: The new central building with large offices and manufacturing area of more than m² / ft². Since 2013, it serves as the headquarter for the 3CON group was marked by the internationalization of the 3CON Group. In spring, the 3CON Corporation opened its center of operations in Michigan/USA. This was followed by the establishment in Shanghai/ China. As part of the expansion, the company enlarged the sales department, project planning and designing at the new location in Laufen / Upper Bavaria. With this new subsidiary 3CON extended the technology thermoforming and edge folding. Also at the headquarter of the company the high level of customer encouragement led to an above-average growth of 3CON Group. To meet the market requirements, the groundbreak-ing ceremony for the second phase of construction has been set in The extension with an area of more than m²/ ft² was ready to use in spring The international orientation, the capacity expansion and thecooperation with its technology partners allows the 3CON Group the implementation of sophisticated and global projects. 5 Meanwhile, the company 3CON is one of the world leaders in the fields of press laminating, vacuum laminating, edge folding, joining technology, assembly lines and hot air-cutting in special systems for the automotive industry and its suppliers. Well-known customers from the automotive industry rely on the technological know-how for years. 3CON offers innovative solutions that range from consulting the part design to turnkey delivery of the production facilities including service support during the entire production period. The current turnover of more than 40 million Euro will continue to grow steadily and consistantly. 7 Press lamination 3CON offers a wide range of press lamination technologies as conventional press laminating, leather- and artificial leather covering, groove laminating and the in-house developed ESL-Process for exact pre-cut blanks. Pillars Back panels of seats Instrument panels Door panels, Belt line uppers Inserts and Armrests Vacuum lamination and vacuum forming 3CON-Thermoforming Technology offers advantages on saving of foil material and cycle time. The newly developed vacuum laminating machine is suitable for tools of all manufacturers and also has the IMG and IMG-L capacity. A switchable production of roll and cut increases production flexibility. Center Consoles Instrument panels & door panels Edge wrapping 3CONs link guided edge wrapping technology offers short cycle times, reduced energy consumption and low maintenance. 8 Assembling lines for the Interior The Model of 3CON Assembly lines are highly flexible and efficient production lines at the OEM s for body assembly. 3CON lines are suitable for high- and low-volume vehicles. Door panels Instrument panels Joining 3CON offers 4 different joining technologies, to suit the customer's process requirements. Ultrasonic-, Hotair/Coldstack-, Hotstack- and Infrared- Joining technique can be integrated into standalone units or 3CON Assembly lines. 9 Anti-squeaking & Clips jigging The application of Anti squeaking liquids and the jigging of clips could be integrated in 3CON assembly lines or in stand-alone units. Door panels Hot-Air-Cutting Developed and patented by 3CON, Hot-Air-Cutting was designed as a cost effective alternative to laser or water jet cutting. This is mainly suitable for textiles.
