3 4 Key elements Youth guidance centers that provide guidance services for young people up to the age of 25 years, focusing on the transition from compulsory to youth education or, alternatively, to the labour market. Regional guidance centers that provide guidance for students in youth education programmes and young people and adults outside the education system who wish to enter a higher education programme. eguidance which can be reached by , chat, phone or SMS seven days a week from morning to evening. eguidance is for all citizens young persons and adults. eguidance was launched January The national guidance portal: is an ICT-based careers information and guidance portal. The portal helps people by finding careers information in order to make qualified decisions about education, training and careers.

4 Some of the main aims for UU Help to ensure that choice of education and career will be of greatest possible benefit to the individual and to society. Be targeted particularly at young people who, without specific guidance, will have difficulties in relation to choice and completion of education, training and career. Take into account the individual s interests and personal qualifications and skills. Contribute to limiting, as much as possible, the number of dropouts Be independent of sectorial and institutional interests. Therefore guidance shall be provided by practitioners with an approved guidance education or recognized competencies at the same level.

10 Team School There are 40 schools in our region 10 private schools 16 counselors In the area of UUV each counselor has the responsibility of 2-3 primary and lower secondary schools.

12 Team Youth In the 4 municipalities there are approximately 1400 young people between 15 and 25 years old. And if any of them are in an unsatisfactory education, or employment situation, they will be contacted.

14 A special obligation for the 15 to 17 year olds To provide guidance to this group of young people into education, employment or other activity designed to ensure that they are pursuing an education in line with their education plan. UUV contacts the year olds within 5 working days after the UUV has been informed that the young do not follow his education plan. UUV offers year olds a new activity within 30 days after contact is established. UUV shall notify a local authority on young people who do not follow their education plan.

15 Evaluation of this approach More young people are now in jobs or in education The remaining group is reduced by about 39 percent since the start of the Youth Package. 25 Challenges in cooperation The targets for the guidance has become more ambitious and clear we need to cooperate. we get closer to each other's cultures and ways of working that s a challenge! Differences in tasks, procedures and organizational cultures become more clearly. But greater awareness also means greater understanding and increasing knowledge. It is a task for UU to facilitate this cooperation and to get all good forces around the young people to play together We use a lot of resources to develop network, gain knowledge - and fundamentally to think positive and appreciative of "the other".
