2 2 Learn how to manage businesses The programme is taught in English and includes subjects related to Business Economics and Economics. Compared to bachelor programmes taught elsewhere the range of topics is oriented towards information systems, operations, and supply chain management. The programme still covers all the basic subjects of Business Administration. A maximum of 90 students are admitted to the Business Management programme in Odense. The programme is also offered to foreign students, who wish to take a complete BSc in Odense. Some courses are also offered in our international programme enrolling both students from our many international partners and individual foreign students. 3 Career opportunities Bachelors in Business Administration have excellent opportunities for employment in companies of all kinds. By far the majority will obtain employment in the private sector - in industry, trade and services and particular business organisations and public enterprises also employ graduates with this degree. A bachelor course provides you with all-round, broad commerce competences enabling bachelors to undertake different kinds of administrative functions in companies such as logistics, accounting, finance and strategy development. In addition the course of studies is an ideal foundation for further training and specialisation. With at BSc in Business Management you are qualified to enter a range of master programmes, especially within the field of Economics and Business Administration. The English-language bachelor in Business Administration is naturally an ideal point of departure for an international career in multinational corporations and organisations or internationally-oriented Danish companies. 4 4 More about the programme Teaching The Business Management programme consists of 6 semesters with approx. 15 lessons per week. As a student you are in charge of acquiring skills and knowledge. Skills and knowledge are not only developed in connection with teaching, but in a more importantly through studies, field work/research, preparation of assignments, and especially through the interaction with fellow students. The methods of instruction will be lectures, class exercises and teamwork with supervision. Study abroad The University of Southern Denmark is known to emphasise the international profile of the offered courses. This is also the case for the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration. There are many opportunities abroad at your 5 th semester due to a comprehensive network of universities offering English-language programmes, especially in the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland). The bachelor project A bachelor programme ends with a bachelor s project during the sixth term. This offers you the opportunity usually in collaboration with a business or an organisation to put into practice the knowledge you have acquired.

7 7 Entry requirements The Bachelor of Science - Economics and Business Administration - Business Management requires the Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate or the equivalent foreign qualifying examination. Furthermore you have to meet the following entry requirements: Mathematics - intermediate level Social Sciences or History - intermediate level English - intermediate level The entry requirements cannot be waived. For specific level and course requirements, prospective students are advised to contact the Admission Office (Student Services) before submitting their application.
