4 Construction Whether it is a new build school or an internal refurbishment, Aura has the experience to deliver. We have constructed over 30 schools in the last six years. These include both traditionally procured or design & build, through to Public Private Partnerships. We have also undertaken a wide variety of refurbishment and remodelling works. We operate two works units; Small Works and Major Projects, both teams have in depth knowledge and expertise; understanding the strategic direction of education and the requirements of building in and around a live school site. Our teams also strive to enhance the image of construction in local communities and have over the years been recognised with Gold Standard Considerate Constructors awards. Our design teams have worked with schools at all stages of design from initial visioning to detailed design development. Our work has been rewarded with achievements including a Stirling Prize finalist and the Lord Mayor s Design Award. Our menu has been split into two sections Safety & Compliance Repair & Maintenance Safety & Compliance Audit check: Aura will work with the school s Duty Holder/Authorised Person to assess your procedures, to reduce risk of prosecution or fines, and to ensure you are complying with current legislation and codes of practice. Risk management: We will provide you with detailed guidance on a wide range of risk management topics, including incident management and protecting your people, property and reputation should the worst happen. Continuity management: This covers the development of a robust, school specific continuity management plan, identifying the appropriate measures to control and manage any major incident, including dealing with the aftermath to ensure your school is back in operation at the earliest opportunity. working in your school are suitably qualified, safe and insured. Repair & Maintenance Proactive maintenance: This service can be tailored to your specific needs, providing you with the comfort of knowing that your building is being maintained to statutory legal requirements. You can also opt for items like grounds maintenance, CCTV, Building Management Systems, snow clearance and gritting. Reactive maintenance: This includes the provision of key trades, such as plumbers, joiners, electricians supported by a 24/7 helpdesk. School support: Aura can undertake a selection of support services including caretaking, cleaning and catering. Safety, health & environment: Aura will develop specific Health & Safety policies and procedures.
