Please note the due date of March 15 th. Our scholarship is specifically for those students seeking education in the automotive or vocational/technical fields. We generally award one scholarship per year, but based on available funds, have awarded up to five in a single year. Please make copies of these forms as needed. 2 SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION A scholarship is offered by the Charlevoix Street Legends Classic Car Club to high school graduates and seniors of Charlevoix County, Michigan, who have been accepted at an approved school for any phase of practice within the automotive field or in a vocational/technical program in the fall following graduation from high school or registered home school. If you wish to apply for the scholarship: 1. Complete the attached application form and return it along with a letter of recommendation from your automotive instructor or instructor in your vocation/ technical program or any instructor (if not in a program) to the scholarship committee at the above address by March 15 th. 2. Ask your high school principal, counselor or administrator to complete a report on the attached form and submit it with a transcript of your high school grades directly to the committee by March 15 th. 3. Complete a one page letter of intent explaining your background and experience in the automotive field or vocational/technical field and how you will be able to use this scholarship. 4. Attach a copy of your letter of acceptance from the school or program you are planning to attend. 5. Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Federal Methodology (submit the EFC number from the Student Aid Report sent to you on the attached application) The scholarship will be paid via check to the recipient s program or school in the recipient s name. The recipient may reapply for renewal of the scholarship for a total of two years. A scholarship certificate will be awarded during the awards/scholarship ceremony at recipient s school in the spring and the actual check will be presented to recipient at the May meeting of the Street Legends Classic Car Club.
