7 Packaging PROJECT SCHEDULE The completion of your project depends upon the confirmation of the contents of this dossier as far as packaging design and machine composition is concerned. Once the technical process has been completed, a specialised computer system launches your project into the production phase. Once the parts have been manufactured, we begin machine assembly on an exclusive basis. Our team of highly skilled engineers takes charge of this process. Once the machine has been assembled and prior to shipping, it is commissioned at our factory, after delivery one of our engineers will commission the system at your site. Details are then provided of what each process consists of, in order to avoid additional costs and delays. Please follow our instructions. 1.- COMMISSIONING AT OUR FACTORY This consists of checking the operation of all the machine elements, their adjustment to the film that the customer wishes to utilise, and the product to be packaged. This is carried out at our factory. If you wish to change material at a later date, we recommend that you contact us, as further modification may be required. It is recommended that you contact your film supplier, once the order has been processed to arrange for sufficient material for commissioning to be sent to our factory. For this we will require 150 linear metres of each type of material and for each format to be tested. We require the material 15 days prior to the delivery date for the machine. A few days before the equipment is tested we will be in contact with you so that you can send us samples of the product to be packaged. We also offer a training course for the personnel from your company who are going to be responsible for operation of the system.

8 Packaging 2.- START UP AT THE CUSTOMER S SITE (*) This consists of training your personnel in machine operation. To this end, we recommend that the people who are going to receive the training are free from their other responsibilities for the duration of the course, enabling them to receive full training. At the end of the course, a short test is administered to check that the content of the course has been assimilated. Our engineer will go to the customer s site when we have been informed that: o The connections have been prepared o The customer has sufficient material for 8 hours of operation per day for 3 days o The product to be packaged is available The contract covers a 3-day period for start-up. If the customer considers that more time is required, the corresponding representative should be contacted. If printed film is to be used the customer must at least have a sample with the eye mark in order to be able to position the tools. If the material is not available our engineer will have to return at a later date, incurring further expense. (*) (The start up will be done by an ULMA technician in case that it s indicated in the contract) IMPORTANT CONTACT YOUR FILM SUPPLIER IMMEDIATELY TO ARRANGE FOR FILM FOR THE COMMISSIONING AND START UP. (PLEASE NOTE: 6 WEEKS ARE NORMALLY NECESSARY FOR THE MATERIAL TO BE PREPARED.)
