This has been such an interesting year. The economy hasn t made it easy on any of us. Between price increases in 2008 and price decreases in 2009, to say many of the markets have been fluctuating at a very unusual rate would be an understatement. Job cuts and severe budget tightening have made it tough on many companies, organizations, and affiliates. Through it all NAPM-I has persevered. NAPM-I s monthly PDM s have maintained the high quality you have come to expect. NAPM-I seminars have been second to none. The board has worked hard to control costs, and we will continue to do so. We have tried to control cost through having our board meetings at Quest Environmental and Safety Products in Fishers instead of going to a restaurant. The Christmas party for committee volunteers and board members was cancelled this year. We have competitively bid out the office materials, and we changed over to electronic methods for delivering the newsletter and perspective and new member packets. There are so many people I would like to thank as well as our terrific members. The first would be Sam Yadav (President of Quest ) for offering NAPM-I to use the Quest facility to help us control cost. Sam has been supportive anytime NAPM-I has needed help. The second would be Jeff Fleischer with Karrass Seminars. Karrass has given NAPM-I members savings of over twenty percent this entire year. Jeff was instrumental in negotiating this program with myself, and many NAPM-I members benefited. The third would be Rich Bayley and the rest of the NAPM-I Board of Directors. Rich has been there to support and mentor myself and others on the board whenever needed. As we go forward into the future I look forward to working with all of my friends at NAPM-Indianapolis.
