Since 2005, we've: trained over 19,022 community members, law enforcement, and social service providers; supported over 110 interns in becoming human rights leaders; helped more than 50 survivors consider college; and collaborated with numerous agencies and organizations. Our work helps make the community a safer place establishing better environments in which to live, creating social change, and envisioning a world where justice for all is dependent on justice for the one. The company's success rests largely on the founder's skills and experience in branding, social media marketing, and community outreach. While an intern will be learning the most from Johnathon's marketing skills, they will also have opportunities to learn from his experience working with international suppliers, managing a small business, and creating websites and marketing material. Johnathon holds a BS in Finance from the University of Tampa with concentrations in Marketing & Entrepreneurship. Duties: The intern will be in charge of managing Urban Unbound's social media platforms. We will train you on how to effectively design and implement social media campaigns. We will train you on effective tagging, cross promoting, and (if desired) SEO. If desired, we can teach basic Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator principles. However, we will more often use mobile apps for graphic design. Majors: JRN, SPE, COM, ENG, MKT, WMS, LING, International Business Qualifications: International business minors must have a 2.8 gpa and have taken one international business course before receiving internship credit. Check with your department to find out if this internship will qualify for credit. Job Requirements: We ask that the intern have some basic social media skills (particularly with Facebook and Instagram). 8 Internship Title: Development Intern Agency: National Stroke Association Location: Centennial, CO Position ID: Description: The Development Intern will support development staff in the identification and cultivation of mid to major donor prospects. They will evaluate giving history, constituent engagement, and participate in some donor cultivation. The Development Intern will also support recruitment and stewardship of peer fundraisers, Stroke Challenge team members and community fundraising event hosts. The Development Intern will participate in creation and evaluation of donor reports, hand written and electronic donor communication and other duties as assigned, as it relates to cultivation and stewardship of non corporate revenue opportunities. Training will be provided in the following areas: 1. Database training in SalesForce to learn how to pull reports, sort data, track donor information, input donor communication, etc. 2. Training in how to write communication to donors both via and hand written notes, how to record this communication and the importance of donor communication and how it can impact revenue. 3. Training on fundraising best practices some professional development training opportunities may come up depending on schedule and availability, as well as use of internal best practices resources. 4. Opportunity to shadow development staff to department and organizational meetings, where appropriate, to learn about development and non profit organizational strategy.
