You will also be introduced to the many careers available in the culinary world, as well as study famous chefs of the past and present. 4 This 6-week course is like driving the food truck in the fast lane Can You Keep Up? Learn everything you need to know about how to keep food safe and your hard-earned money in your pocket! ServSafe Food Handler If seeking certification, curriculum cannot be modified. ServSafe certification is required for upper level culinary courses. Student Cost: $0 BBCTA Cost: $8
5 You will have the luxury of answering 1 question the entire 6 weeks. How can you best design an all-inclusive vacation package for your target market while staying within your assigned? The 4 main segments that you will identify through the project are Transportation Lodging Entertainment Food and Beverage If any of these topics interest you, then you should enroll in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism. The project will involve creating logos, brochures, flyers, and web designs. Topics of Study: The Effects of Travel and Tourism, Fundamentals of the Hospitality Industry, Transportation in the Tourism Industry, Overview of Selling Tourism, and Careers in Hospitality and Tourism. DECA is the CTSO for students enrolled in Business, Marketing, or Finance courses. DECA students have access to: Guest speakers Field trips to the Cowboys Stadium, Mavs game, Six Flags, and Northwood University Local, State, & Nationwide travel with DECA competitive events Field trip (TBA)-See QR code of our field trip to Dallas!
