VISA, MASTERCARD, DINERS CLUB INTERNATIONAL and AMERICAN EXPRESS are all global companies offering consumers real-time payment solutions using credit and/or debit cards. Sofort The Sofortueberweisung payment system enables real-time payments directly from a customer s online bank to a merchant. A customer requires their BSB, PIN and TAN for their online bank to use this service. Giropay German savings banks, credit unions and Postbank have joined forces to offer Giropay, an Internet-based payment system. The customer only needs to hold an online bank account with one of the supported banks to use Giropay. ELV Is a preferred payment throughout Germany particularly among Internet customers who do not have a credit card. The buyer enters their account number and banking routing number in the SSL-secure terminal window and then the data is securely transmitted and processed. EPS Online Traders from a wide range of sectors as well as e-government have signed up with EPS. This Austria-based payment service allows large numbers of official payments to be made quickly and simply. Anyone with access to Internet banking can use EPS to pay online at no additional cost. 4 New and improved Public payment page Overview The new version of the Public Payment Page encompasses several key elements, each of which contributes to the overall performance of the company by either introducing a new feature or improving an existing one or a different part of the system. The scope of this release includes: Public payment page builder Mobile device detection Fields validation Infrastructural changes Code refactoring Public Payment Page Builder In version 5 of the Payment Page a new feature will be introduced, which will allow clients to quickly and conveniently create, change or entirely develop the User Interface of their payment pages. The Page Builder can be found in the C-Panel under Page Builder. The process of customizing the page follows four easy steps. Page creation Step 1 Template Selection Clients may choose between four different templates, each of which is completely customizable. Hovering over the thumbnails reveals the possible options. 5 Step 2 Field Selection After choosing a template, clients have the option to add, remove, make mandatory or optional, and/or rearrange any of the available fields on the payment page. This is achieved by dragging and dropping desired fields from one column to another. Figure 2 Payment Page field selection Step 3 Style Selection Clients then choose the correct set of styles to match their website. Clients have the option to change the color of every element on the payment page, as well as modify the font style and size. A dynamic preview is available at all times to demonstrate each change.

6 Figure 3 Select Styles sample page design Step 4 Image Upload Clients may upload images to any of the four sides surrounding the payment page. For example, a banner may be uploaded to the left or right side of the payment page as well as on the top or bottom of it. In order to upload an image, select the Select image button and choose the desired banner. Figure 4 Image upload

7 Advanced (HTML) mode Experienced HTML and CSS users may change every facet of the page by directly inserting HTML code. The HTML mode may be accessed from the navigation menu as shown in Figure 5. At any point of time they can: Preview how the page will appear in real-time Save their changes Publish the page, making it the default page for their website Figure 6 Navigation screen

8 Client-side Validation The sections to follow detail each of the different validations intended to significantly increase the conversion of each payment page. Incorrect value entered If information is entered incorrectly or a mandatory field is not filled-in, the field is highlighted, thus alerting the user. This validation takes place the moment the field becomes inactive i.e. the end-customer is filling in a different field. Figure 7 Field validation sample Credit Card validation If the end-customer wants to purchase with a credit card, several client-side validations will be activated, more specifically: If the Card is American Express Address, City and Zip will appear as mandatory fields CVV must be a numeric value. Must have 3 digits for all cards, except 4 digits for American Express for validation Expiration date must be later than the current date

9 Mobile Device Detection This new feature will automatically detect the end-customer s device being used to access the payment page and depending on the result it will show a specifically designed and optimized payment page. Two cases are available: Browser the system will display the correct browser page payment page adapted for the device used. Mobile the system will display a default page optimized for mobile purchases The simplified and intuitive design of the mobile-device-optimized payment pages will allow vendors to better convert mobile users.
