2 Malaysia Anti Corruption Academy MESSAGE MACA is currently moving towards a center of training excellence for the training of MACC officers and local law enforcement agencies to help address challenges in the face of development towards achieving developed nation status. Government Transformation Programme (GTP) which was introduced in January 2010 to strengthen the public service is astimulus and challenge to the MACC for the best outcomes with limited available funds. The transformation towards a knowledge-based economy requires knowledgeable MACC officers and highly skilled. In response to these challenges, MACA as a major anti-corruption training institutions have taken steps leading to the transformation and upgrading the capacity and effectiveness of public sector through various training programs conducted. The main objective of MACA is to develop of human capital and are able to provide higher impact on learning and development. In addition to the main function in the development of science and knowledge through various programs, courses and seminars are organized. MACA also aims to inculcate a positive attitude among MACC officers to the public sector transformation process. MACA mission is to produce competent MACC officers and innovative with a view to the public service workforce that is knowledgeable, skilled, creative and innovative.. I hope that through this portal MACA activities can be disseminated to the MACC officers and other law enforcement agencies more widely and can help foster professionalism in the domestic network as well as globally. 3 Masters in Social Science (Corruption Studies) UKM-MACC This program is the first program of its kind offered in Malaysia and in Asia Pacific Region. This program is open up to other enforcement agencies, government link company e.g. Police force, Arm Forces,Custom, Audit, Tenaga Nasional Bhd., Telekom, Petronas and Pos Malaysia, as well as agencies from ASEAN countries to send law enforcement officials concerned to pursue. Initiative of this program is to produce officers that they can afford to analysts and to explore all aspects of corruption that could threaten the integrity of the country, is in line with government efforts to improve the integrity of its citizens at all levels of the national agenda in Malaysia.

4 Masters in Social Science (Corruption Studies) UKM-MACC PROGRAM OBJECTIVES This program is to provide additional knowledge (value added) of the existing advanced academic training to the MACC officers and the local enforcement agencies in and and abroad to enhance their professionalism; This program will produce graduates who are sensitive to the development of the approach and the latest technology in the activities and corruption in international management; This program will enhance the ability of MACC officers and related agencies having the latest knowledge in the areas of corruption prevention development, a highly sensitivity towards development and in-depth and to be broad-minded in the near future of MACC leadership at the highest level.

5 Masters in Social Science (Corruption Studies) UKM-MACC LEARNING OUTCOMES This program will produce MACC, the local and abroad enforcement agencies officers capable of evaluating the current corruption in the domestic and global level more critically. In addition, this program will produce MACC, the local and abroad enforcement agencies officers can debate an issue in a focused and intellectually, as well as to expand their minds to be more analytical, with the crime world of corruption, which is always challenging. Knowledge received through this program not only involves the theoretical aspects but also with aspects of the application, which can help the MACC, the local and foreign enforcement agencies in eradicating corruption more efficiently, effectively and professionally.

7 Masters in Social Science (Corruption Studies) UKM-MACC DURATION OF STUDY AND METHODS This program is a full-time program covers three semesters [18months]. The method is through lectures, tutorials, seminars, course work, research / writing, papers project and the project benchmarking study visits abroad to country that are identified Corruption Perception Index level is low. This program involves the existing teaching staff in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities [FSSK] and external instructors FSSK and MACA. Expertise of teaching staff will be utilized for teaching and supervision of candidates of this program.

9 STUDENT CANDIDATES Bachelor Degree with Honours in various fields from UKM or universities recognized by the UKM Senate, OR Diploma from UKM or universities recognized by the UKM Senate and at least five (5) years relevant working experience; Additional conditions (Overseas Students) Pass the TOEFL Test (Curriculum United States) with 550 marks (manual) ( manual) or 240 (Computer calculation) OR Pass the IELTS test (Curriculum United Kingdom) withan average of 6.0 points and Foreign students who received a Bachelor Degree from the University who use English as medium of instruction on the requirement of UKM Senate.

10 Medium Of Instruction This program will be conducted using both Bahasa Malaysia and English language during the lectures and learning activities. This program will be implemented in: Place : Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK) National University of Malaysia (UKM) Bangi, Selangor FEES Fees for this program is RM 30, / per participant Students who are interested are asked / advised to seek their own funding either from employer or personal loan.
