GRADING SYSTEM AND ECTS CREDIT SYSTEM USED BY THE POLICE ACADEMY When checking students knowledge and skills the following grading system is used: 1) detailed grades: a) Very good,0; b) Good plus,; c) Good ; d) Satisfactory plus,; e) Satisfactory,0; f) Unsatisfactory,0; ) general grades: a) credit granted; b) credit not granted. For comparing the study attainment and performance of students, the Police Academy follows the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Each subject is given a particular number of ECTS credits in the line with the requirements specified in the curriculum. ECTS credits are also specified for practical training, diploma seminar, diploma thesis and diploma examination. The number of ECTS credits corresponds to an average and necessary effort a student takes to achieve the objectives specified in the curriculum. The principles for the assessment of students attainment and performance by ECTS credits are defined by the Faculty Council.
