You are a big part of our success and the reason for our continuous growth at. I am very proud to be part of the Fracht Group and enjoy working with a team of professionals. Many of my colleagues at Fracht bring with them a wealth of experience from their respective backgrounds, not only air and ocean freight as you would expect, but also heavy haul trucking, barging, rigging, rail transportation and engineering. We are not your typical freight forwarder as we strive to differentiate ourselves from others. With 65 offices worldwide we are big enough to cover all your shipping needs, but small enough to care. We are happy to congratulate Casey Goins of our Norfolk office for successfully passing the US Customs Broker Exam and we would also like to share some highlights of one of our key projects in You will find some fascinating industry news on page 4 and it is our pleasure to share how is trying to give back to the community on page 5. Last, but not least I would like to take this opportunity to announce we are expecting delivery later this month of our first company owned railcar to better serve clients having heavy lift cargoes up to 370 metric tons. The 16 axle railcar represents a new generation of cars within its class, built with light steel of our own design which allows for heavier, longer and taller pieces to move via rail. Keeping within the 16 axle class provides for a more cost efficient solution for our clients. Thank you again for all your support and happy reading. 3 Our specialty is the transportation of heavy lift cargo and here is an example of our work at... Fracht Cable Reels to SWEDEN Fracht Norfolk, in conjunction with Fracht Houston, handled the first 4 reels (underground high voltage cable) from North Carolina to Sweden. The project, which will last through to 2014, will require 357 reels weighing approx lbs each to be handled by Fracht offices from door to door, including delivery of the empty reels back to the factory in the US. The first 4 reels were moved by rail from the manufacturing facility in NC to The Port of Norfolk where they were loaded on a Ro-Ro vessel. On arrival in Gothenburg, Fracht Sweden will arrange delivery to the customers door. Our own engineering team, along with Fracht s railroad experts helped us tremendously to secure the contract. We designed the saddles for the reels and came up with a tie-down method & calculation which was approved by the local rail road. Significant is the fact that we were able to optimize the weight distribution on the rail cars. This allowed us to load 4 reels per car instead of 3 which results into cost savings for our happy customer. 357 INSIDEFRACHT reels weighing around 52,000 lbs each ISO Certification is proud to announce that on March 1, establish a positive change in preserving our 2013 we became certified to ISO 9001:2008, ISO environment. Casey comes from a long background of family members in the shipping industry. Her father Mr. Michael Murphy has been a Customs Broker for 30+ years and is well recognized in the port of Norfolk. For that reason US Customs had Mr. Murphy present Casey with her official certificate. We are very happy to say that we now have 2 Customs Brokers in the Norfolk office as well as our brokerage office in New York. We are remote filers and can clear cargo anywhere in the US. Casey has been a great asset to the Norfolk office and as a licensed broker only adds to our continued growth in Norfolk.

4 Fracht Houston Heavy into Projects The Houston project office continues on its road to success and making one of the leading project logistics providers in the USA and North America. During the last year we added several experts in different fields of specialized transportation and are now offering an even broader spectrum of in-house services. Our group is very dedicated on domestic heavy lift transportation by all available means such as Rail, Barging, Heavy haul and Rigging, enabling us to provide professional door to door solutions to and from anywhere FRACHT USA and our longtime partner NUNO FERREIRA CARGAS INTERNACIONAIS LTDA are re-launching the weekly LCL consolidation product from USA to Santos Brazil. We now offer DIRECT service from our USA offices with extended Free Time at Destination. We are a market leader with our own in North America. No challenge is too big and no job too small. One of the big breakthroughs was the design and production of Fracht s first specialized railcar which you will learn more about in the next newsletter. A recent project being moved is detailed below: Fracht s client is building the main components for this Solar Plant, located on the border of California and Arizona. Due to time restraints, Fracht had to develop a customized transport Destination Brazil consolidation services from all over the USA to Brazil. In addition, we can provide the most competitive FCL rates for your cargo to NAVEGANTES, VITORIA, RIO DE JANEIRO, PECEM, SUAPE, PARANAGUA, VITORIA, RIO GRANDE, SALVADOR and MANAUS. As well as competitive Ocean freight rates, we are able to offer aggressive airfreight rates to solution enabling us to deliver the cargo from European seaport to the Solar Plant in California in less than 40 days. We utilized a container vessel for the heavy lift components and delivering the cargo through the US-Gulf. The main components were a generator and 2 Steam Turbines, the heaviest piece weighing 170 metric tons. This is the second phase of the project, the first one was delivered already last year. In the last few months we have added Hanjin, Maersk, CMA, OOCL, Safmarine, Seaboard and UASC to the list of carriers where we have direct contracts in place. As a registered member of the FMC one of the key advantages of holding a direct contract is that it enhances our profile with the Airfreight News Recently we were asked by a customer to make sure 100%, an urgent piece of freight flew to make a contract to meet a contract deadline in the Middle East. Chris Schumacher, our National Airfreight Manager, made some phone calls and arranged to follow the freight from the Cargo Terminal at Bush vessel owners rather than being a participant in a consortium and as such losing our identity. From our efforts we are starting to see more interest from the vessel owners in our house bill brand, Helvetia. We will continue to build on this strategy, for those trade lanes and businesses where it is appropriate. This will help us become more competitive whilst at the same time offering a higher level of rate confidentiality for our clients and offices. 5 GETDELIVERED IN THE COMMUNITY Fracht GETSINVOLVED Fracht Houston recently donated our airfreight services to provide safe delivery of charitable items to Moldova on behalf of CERI, Children s Emergency Relief International. CERI is a global health and human service organization dedicated to caring for vulnerable children and youth through the development of Foster Care and community-based services. A team of CERI members were in Moldova to receive the airfreight packages which consisted of boots, socks and other knitted items. These were distributed amongst the children at several orphanages in the region and as you can see from the pictures, they were gratefully received by all.
