Thesis 36 credits ME 798 Thesis 36 credits B. Non-credit Courses 1. Students may be required by the University and/or Graduate School to pass an English language proficiency test or otherwise register for improvement course(s). The credits earned (if any) cannot be counted as accumulated credits to fulfill program requirements. 2. The Department may require students to register for selected course(s), at either graduate or undergraduate level, outside the program as a condition for acceptance. program requirements. 3. Graduate Courses a minimum of 24 credits 1.1 Field of specialization courses a minimum of 24 credits Required courses a minimum of 9 credits Select at least 3 subjects from 3.1.3(1) Elective courses a minimum of 15 credits Elective courses in field of specialization a minimum of 12 credits From 3 fields of specialization in 3.1.3(2), select 12 credits from one field that corresponds to the thesis work. Some courses in 3.1.3(3) can also be selected if the topic of Seminar or Special Problem corresponds to the thesis work and this is approved by the program committee Other elective courses a minimum of 3 credits Select 3 credits freely from any field in 3.1.3(2) or from 3.1.3(3) or from the remaining required course in 3.1.3(1).
