1 CenterPoint Energy CRIP Information & User Guide 2007 CenterPointEnergy Houston Electric LLC Competitive Retailer Information Portal (CRIP) CRIP is owned by CenterPoint Energy, and CenterPoint Energy retains all proprietary rights to CRIP. CenterPoint Energy and the Competitive Retailer (CR) / Retail Electric Provider (REP), who is our Customer, are both required by the Customer Protection Rules within the Substantive Rules Applicable to Electric Service Providers, to protect specific proprietary End-Use Retail Customer data associated with a specific ESI-ID / Service Address, and shall not allow unauthorized persons or entities to view or otherwise have access to this information. Users must agree to the Terms of Use to access any proprietary End-Use Retail Customer information contained within CenterPoint Energy's CRIP system.

3 CenterPoint Energy Competitive Retailer Relations Home Page The Homepage includes the Login path to the Competitive Retailer Information Portal (CRIP) for Premise and Transaction information, in addition to Request Access and Forgot Password Features. Login The CR Administrator will access the Information Portal upon receipt of their initial password from the CNP Administrator. (Your address is your User ID) Organization Users will obtain access from their CR Administrator. Request Access Upon selection of this option, the user requesting access will be provided with a list of organizations. (Select Yours) - Upon selection the User will be given specific CR Administrator contact information Forgot Password If User selects Forgot Password the user will be prompted to provide their Address. 4 CR Administrator Options Online Agreement Upon logging in please read the Online Agreement for important CRIP access information. You must agree to the Terms of Use to access any proprietary Retail End-Use Customer information contained within CenterPoint Energy s CRIP system. Scroll Down The first time you log-in and accept the ONLINE AGREEMENT, confirmation of your acceptance will appear Page 2 of 15

5 Printing Agreement Upon accepting the online agreement, you will have the option available to print the Agreement. Future logins will default access to the PREMISE SEARCH home page. Premise Search Home Page default upon login The Premise Search serves as the primary path and access to various new applications within the Premise Search function. 6 Premise Search Enter ESI ID, Meter Number or Search by address for next screen to View Details. Detail Premise information Access is limited to Rep of Record View Details Page 4 of 15

7 Premise Results Premise Information Tab Provides details for the Rep of Record with additional tab options listed below: S ervice Orders Enrollment Orders Usage Data 867 Transactions 810 Transactions If you are not the Rep of Record most of the Premise Information will be Protected. Premise Details Service Orders Tab provides Status for requests received within the last 7 days. Data available is limited to the CR who submitted the request. Service Orders data screen shots providing status including the following details: CNP Process Name - type of transaction CNP Process State request received, complete, cancelled, permits required, etc.. 15 View Users Available to Organization Security Administrator only The View Users displays user details and also provides an option to the View, Modify & Delete View user Details This screen provides a listing of all your organization users; including Name, Address, whether or not the user is Administrator, Last Login of users, and whether the account is locked. The Administrator may also View user details, Modify user details, and Delete a user. 13 of 15
