3 EXAM PREPARATION OUTLINE This intensive program prepares the learner to write the PMP /CAPM exam. The learner will attain a more in-depth understanding of project management fundamentals. Through the SmartPM methodology, will be exposed to a number of proven study and exam-writing strategies, memorization techniques, PMBOK navigation, and exam simulations. This comprehensive 36-hour program includes certification checkpoints to ensure the student is ready for the rigorous certification process which includes a submission of relevant project experience. Learners will also have access to four simulated online computer exams to test themselves prior to their actual PMI exam. Course materials conform to the PMBOK 5.0. This program satisfies the requirements for project management educational contact hours. PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROCESS GROUPS EXECUTION INITIATING PLANNING CLOSING MONITOR & CONTROL STRUCTURE Eighteen units of comprehensive material totaling 28 hours of lecture plus eight hours of exam simulation are delivered over the eight days. Because of the intensive depth of this Boot Camp, days 3 and 6 are designated as self-study days in order to complete lengthy reading assignments and to complete the comprehensive take-home exercises. The final two days are two online simulation exams, each is up to four hours in length. Day 1 and 2: 14 hours (In-class) Day 3: Independent Self Study (No class - Reading and take-home assignments) Day 4 and 5: 14 hours (In-class) Day 6: Independent Study Day (No class - Reading and take-home assignments) Day 7 and 8: Exam Simulation (8 hours) 3

4 COMPLETING THE PMP /CAPM REQUIREMENTS PMP and CAPM candidates must satisfy education and project experience before an invitation to write the exam is extended. To apply for the PMP, you require: A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate s degree, or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education. OR A four-year degree (bachelor s degree or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education. He has an MBA degree as well as a CPA, CMA and PMP designations. For the past 20 years he has been involved with finance and technology projects at a senior management level as Controller, Director of Information Technology and Project Manager.
