3 1 Purpose & Precondition The purpose of this document is to guide movie2me users to configure their system to be connected to other peers. To proceed with the onboarding procedure described in this document, you need to have a running movie2me interface, either M2M-Desktop (Windows) or M2M-Webinterface (Linux), available. If not, you can download the movie2me application for both operation systems at no costs from We offer also ready to use movie2me professional boxes (hardware) for reasonable price. Please note that guaranteed support is only available if you onboard to BCE, CBC or if you have a valid support contract. 2 Get the credentials In order to onboard your system to another m2m, you need to request the Peer-information XML from the company you would like to get connected to. They need to export their local Peer information and send it to you. 4 3 Onboarding for Linux based systems Open a web browser and enter the address to your movie2me system (should be something like: Log in to the webpage with your credentials. Select Peers. 3.1 Connect to other M2M-Peers Step 1: Select Import. Step 2: Select the file you received and press Open.

5 Step 3: Verify the settings. Do not change IP, Port, MTU, Passphrase, User or Password. These values are required to successfully connect with the other Peer. If needed, you can change the other options. Now you are able to connect to the imported Peer and use M2M-Desktop to push or download content. You can also create now a watch folder (watcher) and connect it to the configured Peer to automate your workflow. Step 4: Confirm the settings by selecting Import.

6 3.2 Provide you Peer Information to others Step 1: Select Export Local Peer. You can either create a new user for your local M2M-Peer (Step 2a) or select an existing user (Step 2b) Step 2a: Enter a new user name and click next. Enter a password and a role on the next screen. Step 2b: Select the existing user from the list, enter the password and proceed.

7 Step 3: Check if the local peer information is correct (especially the external IP-address) and click on Export Local Peer. Step 4: Save the resulting XML-file on your system. Send the generated file to the companies you wish to grant access to your system. They can now import your peer in their system.

8 4 Onboarding for Windows based systems 4.1 Connect to other M2M-Peers Step 1: Start M2M-Desktop and select Peers -> Import Peer. Step 2: Select the file you received and select open.

9 Step 3: Verify the settings Do not change IP, Port, MTU, Passphrase, User or Password. These values are required to successfully connect with the other Peer. If needed, you can change the other options. Now you are able to connect to the imported Peer and use M2M-Desktop to push or download content. You can also create now a watch folder (watcher) and connect it to the configured Peer to automate your workflow. Step 4: Confirm the settings by selecting Save.

10 4.2 Provide your Peer Information to others Step 1: Select Peers -> Export Local Peer You can either create a new user for your local M2M-Peer (Step 2a) or select an existing user (Step 2b) Step 2a: Enter a new username and click next. Enter a password and a role on the next screen.

11 Step 2b: Select the existing user from the user list, enter the password and proceed. Step 3: Check if the information for the new or selected user is correct and click export.

12 Step 4: Choose a destination and a file name and select save. Send the generated file to the companies you wish to grant access to your system. They can now import your peer in their system.
