The request is to add the following 3 codes to the POV Service Feature Sub Type Code List #3612. The corresponding SF type is 38-Systematic Withdrawal Plan 3

4 1) Interest Only, Surrender-Free Amount Withdrawal (55) Definition: Amount of interest or gain from the contract or policy without triggering Carrier Surrender charges. 2) Required Minimum Distribution Calculated (56) Definition: Pre-determined Carrier calculated withdrawal amount required to meet the necessary RMD rules. This calculation may be specific to the current tax year. 3) Required Minimum Distribution - Specified Amount (57) Definition: Client specified withdrawal amount required to meet the necessary RMD rules. Approved DTCC will add this to the September 2015 release. Discussion Items September 2015 Voting Ballot All items were approved. The new test FAR output cycle times would be 9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm and 6 pm (M-F). The test FAR Import cycle times would be 9 am and 3 pm (M-F). Note: The test region is not available on weekends. 5 Discuss increasing Fund/Underlying Security Name field on POV and AAP to 50 bytes (change would be mandatory for all) Last month we discussed this topic and several firms responded after the call with their opinion of increasing this field on POV and AAP. While most were not in favor of the change a couple of firms were in support of it. Due to that fact I discussed this again in April and the majority of participants are not in favor of this change. OMR Work On Transaction Source Indictor OMR has been working on suggestions for usage of the FAR transaction source indicator along with definitions. They requested to share their work to date with the Review Board to ensure they are heading in the right direction. Marianne Jasmine from Prudential presented the information. Most thought this was a good start. DTCC will set up a separate call late in April to continue with standard usage and definitions. ZIP Code Format Currently the ZIP Code Format on DTCC files is alpha/numeric with 15 bytes. DTCC polled the group to determine if there was interest in changing the format or shortening the field. Overwhelmingly there was no desire to change the ZIP code field. Encryption of LTC Information DTCC asked the group if they had the ability to encrypt files sent to DTCC and the ability to de-encrypt files received from DTCC. Most said they are able to send and receive encrypted files. There is discussion that LTC contract information may need to be encrypted. This will be discussed further with the Carrier Steering Committee meeting later in April and with the Senior Advisory Board at IRI in May. Removing Agent SSN From Files DTCC asked the group if they were interested in reestablishing the NPI Working Group to eliminate the agents SSN from DTCC files and utilize the National Producer Number instead. At this time there was not enough interest expressed to start a working group. POV Service Feature Value Reporting Changes The POV changes proposed by the Service Feature Working Group will not be implemented in March 2016 due concern by both carriers and some 5

6 distributors that this may not be the correct solution. The carriers are reviewing their reporting methods and will attempt to establish a standard for reporting service feature values in POV. A carrier call will be held on Tuesday, April 14. Next Call: May 5, 2015 from 2:00pm 3:30pm ET 6
