3 Indicative Details Founded in 1924 by Camera di Commercio di Bari WHAT IT IS: The C.C.I.O. is a corporation which grants services, recognized from MINISTERO del COMMERCIO INTERNAZIONALE and is entered UNIONCAMERE in register of CAMERE DI COMMERCIO ITALO ESTERE E MISTE. PURPOSE: To facilitate economic, social and cultural relationship between italian concerns and countries of Balcanic Area and Far East. ACTIVITY: The C.C.I.O. organizes all over Italy events like meetings and seminaries aimed to cooperation and commercial interchange, economic missions abroad and making courses helping managers to relate as well as possible with foreign partners. AGREEMENTS: To penetrate foreign markets as well as possible, the C.C.I.O. uses a thick net of correspondents in Italy and abroad, agreements with charming corporations (Università di Bari, ITD Hu, Kotra, Confincom, Agenzia per lo sviluppo degli Investimenti Lituana, Taitra, Esbas), with Commerce s Chambers in several countries, with some cameral institutions in Italy and with private and public organisms like, for example, I.C.E., Confindustria and Euro Info Centre. 5 Country schedule Geography: A peninsula in Southern Europe extending into the central Mediterranean Sea, including the islands of Sicily, Sardinia, Elba and about 70 other smaller islands. It is mostly mountainous, though between the Apennines (which form the spine of Italy) and the eastern coastline there are the fertile plains of Emilia-Romagna in the north and of Puglia in the south. 33 2007 Program In the framework of the last Assembly of the Camera di Commercio Italo Orientale, the President Silvio Panaro has reported on the positive results achieved in 2006, also due to the collaboration with the Commerce Chamber of Bari. Therefore, they have proceeded to a programme for the coming year, according to the previous experience: Camera di Commercio Italo Orientale will proceed with the informative activity, by giving primary importance to the companies that export or that want to make their first steps overseas, through the chamber bulletin of the periodic, thematic mails throughout our web-site: The promotional activities will be conducted, with the partners of an undoubted professionalism, as during the previous year, in collaboration with the proposed Agencies involved in the internationalisation, and they will also be revolted in a national and international framework. This Chamber with take part at various fairs and manifestations, such as: La Fiera Campionaria Internazionale del Levante (Bari), an unforgettable meeting due to the importance of this fair. Considered in an international ambit, Camera di Commercio Italo Orientale will organise country presentations in Italy, and will also organise round tables and other aimed meetings, with different entrepreneurs in the following areas, focusing of the geographically most important countries. In the attribute of the local partners of the Province of Lecce, an international seminar was held. What follows now is the activity on the Internationalisation and Innovation in the framework of the Innovint project, the community enterprise Interreg III C West. In cooperation with the Regional office Sprint Puglia at least two Country presentations: Bulgaria e Romania. A round table on the commercial opportunities and investments in Albania A seminar on Chorea and Japan, a confrontation of the two economies. A seminar about Taiwan in Puglia, in corporation with Taitra and the representation of Taiwan in Italy. During the fair Fiera del Levante in September, some referents, deputies as well as foreign buyers from overseas will be present. As far as the direct training is concerned, the Chamber will provide informative modules containing the following issues: 1 The international strategies for PMI 2 The delivery conditions of the international commerce: the Incoterms The Export Credit Risk Management: how to receive payments without risks: with particular reference to the credit letter (that will be changed on the 1 st July 2007) 4 The operations between the European Union Countries and the Intrastat forms. The Project FEDERICO II : The Federician Mediterranean Fair The ambitious project, that is expected to give its first results in December 2007, has been approved by the Research University of Bari, by the Research Centre Normanno Svevi, by the Commerce Chamber of Bari and by the Region of Puglia, throughout its assessors for: Mediterranean Sea, Productive activities, Tourism, Fiera del Levante and of the Euro Info Centre IT 391.
